This is really awesome, but there is a big problem with it. The four buffs are "Special Furnishings." This is rough. I had really high expectations for this in my house, but having to give up Special Furnishing spots for this, especially when we are limited to 10 at most, makes me not want to buy it. To make it even worse, the Dueling Mat is in four pieces as well. Why was this not just one piece?

Anyway, I would certainly buy this ( probably multiple ) if we had more room for Special Furnishings, or the buffs were changed to Traditional Furnishings.

Well you think you be abel to put it high in the air and duel on it as if it acted as zos land....nope...working as intended....I hope it's a big to be fixed @ZOS_Kevin

You also can't duel on the Dueling Mat because if you place it above the ground built-in to a house , you can get knocked inside with any knockback effect, and it despawns pets. This is true of any furnishing and it's likely a technical issue, but it would have been nice if a Dueling Mat could be dueled on properly even if other furnishings can't be.

I purchased it but am at a loss with it. House slots are precious, and we have to use 4 slots when 1 would do for the mat. 4 of the special furnishing slots is painful as well, especially since we only have ten to begin with. Unable to place in the air as ground-based AOE's like wall of elements just fall out the bottom of it. So, you need a relatively large flat area to place it, which adds to the difficulties of using it and placing it in Guild Halls.

My plan was to use it as a second floor over my target dummy areas. But since aoe's fall out of the bottom of it and trigger the dummies, that makes that a no-go. Really disappointed with it.

Even the description suggests to put a trial dummy in the middle, but that is not working either.
Where am I going to find proper ground for this? I find this misleading.

That's not what they meant. You just use one mat for the trial dummy and put it infront, so you can chose whether you want to parse on melee range, short range or long range.

Yeah I can see that make sense. I saw the image https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/crownstore/item/14731?furnishing-pack-combat-training like this and then read the description and assume that it will work out as displayed. They have it on a nice patch of ground ofc.

I guess a confirmation from the team on how exactly it can or cannot work would be great. I have setup the mats the way they showed. Just the ground compatibility is killing the concept for me. Such a cool bundle hope they can somehow help solve it.

And also agree with PO point that counting the sigils as special furnishing is making it unnecessarily difficult.

I make some of the best dueling houses pc na and was hoping yo use homes that had alot of water or open area land and have this act in the same rules zos land acts in homes...there is 45..mill saved from buying more lol

Agree with original poster. Having the lights use special furnishing category is harsh. Let us have more of those per house or flip them to normal furnishing category.

To add, limited visitor permission is unable to interact with sigils. This is not good imo. Should be able to use even with limited permissions as with crafting stations alike.

I find the other big problem is just that: it's massive. I'm really struggling to figure out where to fit the dang thing. The concept is really cool, but for 5k crowns, I expect something that will function properly and FIT properly. This is just way too big to fit in even the larger homes.

I was about to buy this myself for a guild house until I read that the sigils take up special furnishing slots. All of my special slots are taken up and I have no wish to remove the existing furnishings I have, so unless ZOS changes the sigils to traditional furnishings or increases our special furnishings allocation for houses (something we all hope for I expect) then I won't be buying it I'm afraid!

Is anyone else having problems that visitors cannot use any of the four buffs? I have tried setting my house settings to Limited Vistor and Visitor (and with other players travelling out and back in). But they cannot use them at all even though I can. What is the use of these if only the owner of the home can use them.

I have also tried to move them up or down, but nothing helps. If it really is only useable for the owner of the house, it is totally useless.

Is the Dueling Mat available on the PTS? Given the huge size and use of FOUR Special Furnishing slots, I'm reluctant to buy it on Live until I've tested out the placement.

The PTS Crown Store selection barely gets updated, it wasn't available during the U45 and U46 testing cycles.

So to summarise:

• The sigils are Special Furnishing meaning to use it you have to remove 40% of your existing special furnishings
• The matt cannot be used above ground or knockback and effects fall through it
• The size is way too big for almost all guild houses
• There are issues with visitors being able to use the sigils
• The texture quality of the matt is poor.

yeah, that's 5000 crowns I won't be spending unless they address all those issues and it only has 11 days left in the store, so as they hardly ever deal with issues like these quickly and it most likely won't be back on sale for years I doubt many in the know will be parting with the cash.

I reported a bug regarding Dueling mat - no one from ZOS has responded yet. They've known about the problem for over a year - that's when I reported the problem with Daedlands platform (all platforms don't work).

They sell broken item for ~$36 and don't even try to fix it... Or even answer...

I use it in Doomchar Plateau (behind the bridge).
It fits, but what good is it if it doesn't work...

@ZOS_Kevin Are you aware of the issues with the new Combat Pack in the crown store? That the combat boosters only seem to work of the owner of the house and not for visitors (we tried all the permissions), making them quite useless. And the issues with the mats as mention in https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/676407/bug-dueling-mat-doesnt-work ?
