BUG [Dueling Mat] doesn't work

Hello,

all platforms are broken (they are leaking).
Area skills don't work and pets disappears on any of them.

It's quite irritating that your newest product [Dueling Mat] doesn't work either - it's useless for anything... Neither for duels (although that's what it's called) nor for parsing the boss... The platform itself is transparent from the bottom...! Is it 0 thick??? All area skills disappear under the platform in many places. The same with pets - I'm attaching screenshots.

When will you fix this???
I reported a bug with the Deadlands platform over a year ago...

It's PC/EU.

This is a video I sent to you over a year ago (2024-03-21) with a bug on the Deadlands platform. The bug has not been fixed yet, and you are also repeating this bug on a new product that cost real money - 5,000 crowns!

This has been true for all furnishing platforms since the beginning. It's likely just how it's coded. I do wish it worked differently, at least for designated furnishings like a dueling platform.

• If you're knocked back, you fall through the platform
• Pets are despawned/spawn beneath it
• Area effects are despawned/spawn beneath it

Tested this out after purchase with 3 different Xbox NA accts, target dummies stop functioning, some reloads of the game fix this issue but not on all accounts. Some of the same issues pre stated also. Overall, beautiful but buggy. Gonna have to store this until it is fixed so the test dummies can be used. Hoping to use it as intended. Thank you for your time.

The price of a broken [Dueling Mat] is 5,000 crowns, it's about $36.

Do you really think that a non-working product that you are currently advertising and selling for about $36 is fair to the players?
And it is still broken and available to purchase in Crown Store...


A problem with platforms reported over a year ago.
Now you are advertising and selling for a really big amount of money an item that is only a non-working decoration for the Guild House. And yet housing is a priority for you in ESO...

I think you are slowly introducing a double subscription: ESO+ and Season Pass. It would be really okay if you at least fixed the bugs in paid items in the game that your _customers_ report to you...
Or at least you would react... Or reply...
But not only like that - "we will send it to the developers who will investigate the problem" or "by design".
You have known about it for at least over a year.

I just accidentally created a duplicate ticket for this issue. Putting it here to keep it together. I also tried taller, fully enclosed platforms and the area effect still goes to the "real" ground so it's completely invisible.

I recently used crowns to purchase the set that includes the new Dueling Mat. There are very few houses that have a flat area big enough for this, mainly Coldharbour Surreal Estate. But I don't like the constant blue. So I cleared out my Moon-Sugar Meadow for an arena for my guild.

I've run into this problem before -- when you try to flatten an area by putting platforms or floors over it, once it reaches a certain height, effects on the ground (think Impaling Shards, Wall of Elements, or Scorch to name a few) actually go through the platform and onto the actual ground even if you can't see it. That's fine when you're just putting crafting stations on it or whatever, but if you are trying to put a training dummy or this Dueling Mat on a platform, it means you can't see the areas affected by the skill.

For example, here's Scorch when on a platform that's on the ground:



But when that platform is raised off the ground, the effect happens below it rather than on it:



I thought that maybe the solid blocks would work, so I made a couple dozen of the Necrom platforms which are several meters tall, but even though they're "solid", skills like those mentioned above still happen on the "real" ground, inside the platform.



It's really only an issue when you're using your skills obviously, which is only when dueling or using a training dummy. But the Dueling Mat basically requires a completely flat surface, and other than in Surreal Estate, I don't know of any other locations where you can get a big enough flat space without using platforms. Moon-Sugar Meadow requires elevated platforms (or tall ones like the Necrom ones) because the terrain is hilly and filled with boulders and grasses that can't be removed. So in order to properly place my Dueling Mat, I can't really avoid losing all ground-based skill effects for the people using it.

This issue needs to be addressed ASAP, or at least give a response as to what they plan to do about it ( as well as all the platform type pieces ).
This is beyond frustrating. I too bought this mat and can't use it at at all.

I did put in a ticket...they said if anything it will be ne t update....so month's from now...
