I understand that it's going to be an ongoing process, I'm just afraid that, as always, the fear of changing too much will hold the developers back. If the game is to survive, things need to change drastically—I'm talking about updated character models and less 'floaty' combat, overland difficulty adjustments (not just for a few bosses..) more account-wide stuff like recipes etc. Combat in general just feels unresponsive, 'twitchy,' and downright dull; things rarely 'connect' the way they should in ESO. That also has to do with sound. Let's see if the changes in U46 will lay a foundation to improve this situation in the future.
Another thing that should go with the times is the cosmetics & mounts we can earn. It got a little better, but not by much. The game isn't free—then there's DLC, expansions, you name it. New players (especially in this broken economy) logging in and realizing there are loot crates & $120+ houses isn't exactly doing much to retain said players.
@ZOS_Kevin I understand the fear of the devs—they wouldn't want to alienate the existing players too much, so surgical precision is required. But that fear sometimes is too big, hence why we are in this situation. The game is not doing too well—everyone knows at this point, even those in denial. Despite not playing too often nowadays, I still care for this game, so I truly hope what you have planned works and that ESO's fate does not come second to your new MMO.
