The Woodland Rangers is a Bosmer themed guild that focuses on protecting the forest from Daedra and the Worm Cult, as well as people who would ignore the Green Pact and harm the forest itself. We are a medium/heavy RP guild, but also plan to get involved in PvP eventually. Guild chat is OOC. Although the guild is comprised primarily of Bosmer, all races are welcome, and any class as well. A heavy emphasis is placed on stealth and bow usage, as you would expect, but anyone can use whatever weapons they prefer.

History
The small group was started by Angaelera Swiftshadow, Paligorn, Kesstryl, Kerodell, and Deswin. All five of them had lived in Gil-Var-Delle before Malog Bal destroyed it, and now they seek to prevent anything like that from happening again. To further this purpose they patrol Valenwood, hunting down Daedra and Worm Cult scum, leaving none alive. They also seek to stop anyone from breaking the sacred Green Pact, enacting swift and harsh justice on any who do. Although they started out small, Angaelera realised that in order to truly be effective against Molag Bal's minions, they would need more fighters, and so they have started recruiting from among the citizens of the Dominion.

Well so far it's just me, but there's someone that I'm pretty sure I'll talk to tonight that's interested. It seems like not a ton of people are wanting to do this, otherwise there would already be another guild like it. So I expect it to be small for a while.0

✭✭I might be interested. I have two alts in Aldmeri, a woodelf templar ranger, and a breton Dragonpriest (DK with healing staff). I like to RP in spatial chat, but I love OOC guild chat to get to know my guildies, so this sounds perfect. Maybe other types of races and builds can be allowed in if there is a purpose for the rangers besides just being a band of woodelves, such as protecting the forests from the Coldharbour invasions and so we need help from those of other disciplines who can put up with our carnivorous ways and tree hugging.HEARTHLIGHT - A guild for housing enthusiasts! Yeah @Kesstryl, @Toralar and I were discussing things like that last night. We've decided that everyone will be allowed, so that if someone wants to join they can. We were thinking of limiting weapons, such as no 2 handed weapons due to the size(can't sneak around with a claymore), but I decided that we won't do that, instead we'll just limit weapon sizes based on activities. What exactly those activities will be we aren't sure yet.0

what about something like a militia, think army rangers, i would think simply making it a stealth based set up , regardless of weapon, while i favor the bow my 2ndary will be a 2 hander.0

✭✭I was thinking the same, my ranger is a protector of the forests, not an illegal type. You still need stealth to hunt with a bow, which woodelves are carnivores anyway so hunting is their prime way of getting food. I would picture their society as sneaking up on the enemy and flanking them into a corner, then shooting them down from the cover of the trees. Toralar✭Yeah, that's what I saw, is like a chaotic good/chaotic neutral alignment really. And really illegal is subjective. What Bosmer or Khajiit would consider acceptable might be considered illegal by Altmer.0
