Also might be some time issues. Currently it is 2E 582. Gilverdale went down in 1E 2920. That's roughly 600+ years. Not sure if we could have been in coldharbor that whole time without being insane. And I think bosmer lifespans are only 400 years? I think? Not positive.

Toralar✭Gil-Var-Delle and Gilverdale may be the same. Bears looking into definitely. Although the ingame lore around it seems to point in a different direction.0 -
Nalloart✭The average Mer lifespan is actually a thousand years so long as they aren't killed by disease or combat. Dunmer are capable living past that. Since a date isn't given for when the Vestige is taken to Coldharbour it's completely plausible to have them sit in Coldharbour way past their life span, like with the Companions and Sir Cadwell, and emerged unaged. But that's also assuming that time in the Planes of Oblivion works different than in Nirn and that you don't have to be soul less to leave unaged. In Oblivion when you destroyed a gate the same exact amount of time passed as in Nirn. Since ES is really good at not changing lore, it's safe to say that time works the same as in Oblivion as it does in Nirn and that to return to Nirn unaged you can't have your soul like Cadwell( who was aged by being in Oblivion and soul less for so long), Lyris and the Vestige.
It's only a 584( counting 2E 0) year difference between 1E 2920, which is the last year of the First Era, and 2E 583. So a Bosmer would be able to see the destruction of Gill-var- Delle and be able to tell the tale in TESO, they would just be the equivalent of 40 year old human.1 -
Nalloart✭And Gilverdale and Gill-var- Delle are one and the same. Bosmer kept to the original name whilst the other races changed it to suit their spelling needs.0
