[Mac] Launcher Stuck At "Checking Download" but % Increasing

Note: running on a Mac.

So, I downloaded the installer, installed it to get the launcher, now have the launcher sitting open. Its using a massive amount of resources on my computer (more than any download/install should really use, but okay - that's fine. My worry is, the % install/download is increasing slowly - been open for about an hour, currently at 5%. However, the status still lists "Checking Download" and the amount remaining is sitting at 22911.59 MB and not budging.

Has anyone seen this issue? Should I just trust that the game is going to download and install correctly (I guess I have no other option, just looking for some moral support I suppose).

Forgot to note, download speed is sitting at a stellar 0.0kb/s lol.

Any luck? Mine has been stuck on 16% since I went to bed last night.. Downloading at 115k/b's but hasn't budged in hours.

Any update on this? Currently experiencing similar status with Mac launcher. Status has changed to downloading, albeit with a terribly slow speed, but overall % has stalled at 8. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: paused and resumed and speed rose to what I would expect it to be and download appears to be functioning fine.

I'm having this problem as well. To the far left of the progress bar it says checking download xxx MB remaining. It goes down fairly fast until about 7000 MB and then stops. My download speed is apparently 0.0 kB/s although the progress bar moves up slowly. The download usually stops at around 19%. I have already tried deleting the files and redownloading. So far nothing has worked any help is greatly appreciated

Having the same problem. 0 kb/s and stuck on checking download. goes up about 1% every minute or so… any help?!

There was another post elsewhere that helped me with this issue..

Go Apple Menu > System Prefs > Security & Privacy > General Tab

Choose Allow Apps Downloaded From: Anywhere.

Once I hit that the MB remaining, KB/s, and % started working correctly.
