To be honest, although I was tempted by the new horse, and really want to buy a nice horse, I am really glad it isn't better than the basic horse.
It would set a really bad precedence in the game if they already started selling virtual "stuff" that gave a gameplay mechanic advantage to players who pay real money in "micro-transactions". I didn't pay £50 + £8.99/m for the privilege of spending yet more money in a P2W system like a F2P game.
All real money purchases should be for aesthetic/vanity items for players to have more individuality and attachment to their characters. You should never be able to (for example) buy a "godly sword of death" for £50 if you want to be serious about PvP.
Seems expensive and I won't be buying one, don't really need one since travel isn't really that bad with all of the free porting from wayshrines. And I guess it could be worse...
could be like WoW where you pay $25.00 for a stupid ugly mount and so many mindless drones will pay for it and call it the most beautiful mount to ever exist, so much bad taste but hey what can ya do
From the baseline mount (base stats do not matter):A question for those that have upgraded their horse a bit...when does this head armour start to show ?
It's just I don't personally like it and would like to know how far I can go without it.

Something I've not found out, if you buy a 42k with +10 to carrying slots or stamina can you put +49 into it as well so that they end up with the extra 10 or is their level cap still 50, ie. only 39 upgrades?
The basic horses work fine for anything in the game right now, even pvp,
Also, for the people saying "save up and buy a 40k mount", I disagree, at least at this point. The basic horses work fine for anything in the game right now, even pvp, and they're going to be releasing new mounts soon(ish) that you'll have to buy and level up all over again. Most players dont have 40k to toss onto something that they might want to replace in a few months.
