Ran Falkreath Hold Dungeon 6 times and never had Pillar of Nirn drop. WHY?!?!

Sorry if I'm missing something. Having run FH many times for nirn, I'm curious how each run was only 3 to 5 minutes? Cause if so I'm doing something waaaay wrong.

I’m just doing the first two bosses on normal

Would be more efficient to get a full group together. Because then the other 3 get drops too. Increasing the chances one of them will be one you need.

Based on people taking 20 tries to try and get things they already have stickered, it is just quicker to run a RND on every character, get 10 transmutes. Even if you dont have other chars, it's probably still quicker to make 8 new characters, get them to level 10, and run an RND for 2 days in a row.

You’re probably right. If I had any clue I would spend multiple hours getting zero nirn drops I definitely just would have ran all my toons through a random!

If you don’t already have all the weapons, I would consider running the dungeon enough more times to get all the weapons so the cost to reconstruct them will only be 25 transmute stones, much better than getting a drop and then having to change the trait using 50.

It would kill me to reconstruct something for more than 25 stones so I put myself through the torture of getting everything first! 😂

    It feels bugged to me...

I just soloed normal mode the first two bosses (going for body pieces). I did this at least 20 times. Not a single piece of Pillar of Nirn. The math aint mathin... I submitted a bug report.

I'd be interested in seeing a screenshot of your Falkreath stickerbook to see what's goin on with your loot progress.

I have all body pieces in the sticker book. I was just farming for body pieces so I didn’t have to spend transmute crystals. So it should be random drops. Bad luck can happen, but I seriously have 10-12 pieces in my bags on two separate characters all ironblood and D rest and the rest I either sold or used for research in the middle of my farming session. My best honest guess is that I did 20+ runs total as I was farming it for almost two hours and each run was 3-5 minutes.

I did get ONE pillar of nirn drop, but it was from trash mobs at the entrance path, not from a boss.

That is some bad rng. But yeah, I think of it as what is the most cost effective way to get what I want. 2h of farming is a bit longer than I would when I have the sticker book full. I completely understand not wanting to use transmutes if you don't have to. Some people don't know where to put all the transmutes, I on the other hand have a chronic transmute deficiency.

What I do when I am building a new setup is check guild stores if overland set, or run the dungeon a few times if body pieces of a dungeon set. If the cost of those overland set pieces is too high or if the body pieces don't drop, then it might be more cost effective (time=money) to just run a few RNDs to get the transmutes needed to reconstruct.

Ahh ok. That seems efficient actually. You'll miss a lot of chests though, but you probably get a chance at more stuff the way you do it.

It's more like 10-15 minutes for a full run. You just run through the minotaur trash, die at the 3rd boss and go on from that point. The 3 minotaurs before the last boss can be skipped too.

You should always check group chat their are players that will list items they know and don’t need and give those items away for free

If you want to do the whole dungeon and skip everything you can, then you don't need to fight any trash mobs, except one (or two depending on how you calculate it).

To first boss - the shield: from the start go to the right past the camp fire, turn left and jump over the path. Hug the left side and drop down from the ledge. Kill the first boss.

Second (1st big) boss - mammoth: just jog down the road.

Third (2nd big) boss - colossus: run, just run. Spam heals until you get to the boss. Die to drop aggro of the following trash mobs. Kill the colossus. Beware: sometimes AOEs on the ground reset the fight if the colossus goes away and you need to kill the 3 ads. If the ads spawn on AOEs it resets sometimes.

Fourth boss - the draugr: ignore ghosts, just run and drop down to the boss.

The only trash encounter: after the draugr miniboss, run to the door at the end of the corridor. Kill the trash so you can enter the door.

Final boss: when you go through the door, crouch, hug the right side and go to the boss' door from the very right edge so you don't ignore the minotaurs on the yard.

    Update!

I decided to do some more runs of the first two bosses just for testing and on my first run I got a nirn piece. So apparently it’s not bugged!

I don’t even want to calculate the mathematical odds of getting zero nirn drops out of 40+ chances but I guess that’s what happened. RNG be a B.

I forgot about this, but when I was after the mythic lead in there in located in a chest I used vampire form and just avoid most of the mobs and solo the bosses as well as being able to loot the chests. It's almost as fast as doing a PUG as you skip the mobs and die much less lol. Just don't bother with the last boss and rinse and repeat.

Could always just put a gear farm group in the group finder, and just trade amount your selves for the stuff you all don't have and you will likely make short work of the collection book :)
