Ran Falkreath Hold Dungeon 6 times and never had Pillar of Nirn drop. WHY?!?!

Just as the title says. Ive been trying to farm some Pillar of Nirn gear and ran this dungeon 6 times in a row using my healer as part of the group and not a single Pillar item dropped. Is it bugged or something? Is it because I was using a healer? Do drop rates increase if I run on vet? This is just crazy to me. What gives?

Normal, vet, role, doesn't matter.

Just some incredibly bad luck. The drops are curated though, so eventually they will have to drop as the other sets full up

Are you farming for weapons/jewelry? It's just rough.

Make sure you collect (bind) all the non-Pillar gear to boost odds of Pillar.

How many of each Falkreath set do you have stickered? Probably all the armour by now, so armour drops are random. Weapons is where the maths is

This may seem the realm of superstition but I've found sometimes that logging in and out resets the RNG. It is also my experience (purely anecdotal ofc) that the in-demand weapons are often the last to drop. PoN dagger was literally the last curated drop for me in FH.

WHY?!?!

Because ESO is full of boring grinds locked behind horrible RNG, and there are other sets in the dungeon so you're getting those instead. You'll eventually get everything bc curation. Each run gets you closer to the pieces you want.

I don`t know how many times I have ran FH with a PUG and they never stopped to look for the treasure chest. You have a chance to get weapons and jewelry from chest. Best way to get these items is to get in a guild a have some guildies run with you that have already gathered the sets.

I did find it slow to get the parts to drop from that set. It didn't matter what role/template I used though.

I'd suggest trying to get a group from your guild to help you farm it, as they can give you spare parts they loot at the end too. Might help you get the set complete sooner

It’s not bugged, nor does the mode affect this set’s drop rate. It’s just bad luck—unfortunate, perhaps, but that’s all.

It feels bugged to me...

I just soloed normal mode the first two bosses (going for body pieces). I did this at least 20 times. Not a single piece of Pillar of Nirn. The math aint mathin... I submitted a bug report.

If you are in a group you need to bind the items to you for them to count towards the curation system.

I tried it, too. I always bind the items i get, the systems wants me to be a tank i get/got most of the time ironblood. It is just bad luck.

Actually i try to farm crimson oath need jewelry and forststaff at the moment i get RoA which is also good for my PvP builds but i dont really need it.

Body pieces from bosses are curated until you fill sticker book if you bind them when they drop.

Wife and I have been running Falkreath almost every day for a couple weeks now. Armor for all three set are collected and I think we both have all the jewelry as well. I'm down to 4 or 5 weapons on both other sets, but Pillar weapons just don't want to drop for me. I still need 10 of them I think. On the other hand, she doesn't drop anything but Pillar and has almost completed the set. Just RNG.

All the bosses are curated. It's just that only the final boss drops weapon and jewelry pieces. Locked Chests can drop armor/weapon/jewelry pieces but are not curated. All dungeons are like this.

I had this last night in KA. Looking for roaring opportunist, I didn't have one piece drop till the last boss, with like 6 chests too. For sure a bummer but the guildies looked out and I even got the resto staff.

I would suggest running with your guild as others have mentioned. When I need gear this is what I do, it's how I got my pillar set with the added bonus of my guild mates loooovvve looking for chests. Pug runs will always be a toss up if they're in there looking for the same stuff, or their chats off etc.

No. All bosses are curated. But only the last boss drops weapons. So your armour pieces will be full before your whole set is full. Once your armour pieces are full, then they start to be random - because when your sticker books is full with the armour, what is there to curate? But while you have even one armour piece missing from your sticker book, all bosses are curated.

Chests you find in the dungeons are not curated.

Makes sense, note that ZOS has previously been tilted the loot tables for some BIS sets hard. Remember farming Spell power cure and getting no jewelry at all for 40-50 runs, except the one from the quest. But so many bows.

Also stories about people opening 20 chests for an shoulder and only getting the other set who is an 1/1000.000 chance if true.
Think they mostly ended this and your data confirm it.
Armor is easy to get, if you want an special weapon like daggers offer gold for it, serious gold, 100K is low.

Also its good form to offer armor to others in newer dlc dungeons or they are low cp.

IIRC there are three bosses before the main boss, so 6 runs gives you 18 different pieces of armor, if you bind as you go. Only 14 of those can be distinct pieces of the other two sets, so you can't be binding them, or you do have some Pillar, but not what you want.

I have all body pieces in the sticker book. I was just farming for body pieces so I didn’t have to spend transmute crystals. So it should be random drops. Bad luck can happen, but I seriously have 10-12 pieces in my bags on two separate characters all ironblood and D rest and the rest I either sold or used for research in the middle of my farming session. My best honest guess is that I did 20+ runs total as I was farming it for almost two hours and each run was 3-5 minutes.

I did get ONE pillar of nirn drop, but it was from trash mobs at the entrance path, not from a boss.

Sorry if I'm missing something. Having run FH many times for nirn, I'm curious how each run was only 3 to 5 minutes? Cause if so I'm doing something waaaay wrong.

Based on people taking 20 tries to try and get things they already have stickered, it is just quicker to run a RND on every character, get 10 transmutes. Even if you dont have other chars, it's probably still quicker to make 8 new characters, get them to level 10, and run an RND for 2 days in a row.

When I decided to go after Pillar of Nirn myself after finally having a character that can solo normal dungeons, I do remember it took me the longest to get all of the Pillar of Nirn weapons, and it was the dagger that I got last and finally completed the sticker book for that dungeon. I don’t know if Nirn is weighted any differently or if it was just my luck.
