Vengeance.....

With the Vengeance campaign for PvP in The Elder Scrolls Online nearing its end, I want to start by thanking ZOS for taking a fresh approach to testing. Yes, three years ago, ZOS experimented by removing proc sets and cross-healing in PvP, and while it was effective, it didn’t get much attention due to the state of PvP at the time.

This time, however, I’ve seen a lot of new names in PvP—players who may have relied on proc sets before. It’s been interesting to see how this test has highlighted class strengths and weaknesses (and yes, Nightblades could use a buff—just kidding!).

As someone who has played PvP exclusively for over 10 years across all platforms (except PS EU—I'll pass on that one), I can confidently say this has been one of the best large-scale tests ZOS has done. The fights have been massive, the game has felt alive, and most importantly—lag has been minimal.

I’m excited to see what comes next. Oh, and one final request—please keep the darker sky and blood rain. It adds to the PvP atmosphere and makes it feel like a true war zone.

Looking forward to what’s next!

The lack of combat bug has been the biggest positive for me out of this test. Being able to actually mount up to go somewhere quickly (well quicker than walking, as mount speed could have been increased a bit for the test) without having to wait 30+ mins for the combat bug to end, has been so refreshing

I am really hoping ZOS can find a way to implement whatever fix worked in fixing this bug into regular PvP.

since pvp is the cheapest content to produce and maintain it makes sense that zos is shifting gears back to pvp after so long. With the end of the chapters and restricted development they dont really have much choice.

pvp is also pretty big these days so if they can get it working and focus on it for a while, they might get some new blood and returning players interested in it again. its likely also testing of sorts for their new game.

I imagine trials players will be the most dissapointed as i cant see them investing much in that content going forward.

This form of template only PvP will never work long term. Nothing close to this will work long term. This is the floor and the ceiling being the exact same level. There is no diversity. No skill gap. No anything worth playing. It's just zerg v. zerg and the only thing that matters is how many of your faction stack together. The vengeance camp is the opposite of PvP. It's zerg v. zerg with no single player being strong enough to make any significant difference in any situation.

The pvp experienced in Vengeance is infinitely better than the current pvp which consists of immortal ball groups running around killing pugs.

If the playing field is leveled by levelling stats, character abilities, and gear, was there ever really a skill gap to begin with?

Or was it just a stats, character abilities, and gear gap?

I have said all I want to say on the campaign on other threads, but had to reply to say I agree to this. I am going back to Cyro this afternoon and I intend to get some nice screenshots to add to my already extensive collection, just because it is so atmospheric.
