PLEASE, remove the "Quit" option from the menu!

I play ESO on PC with a controller, so I have the console UI, and the new option you put where we exit to desktop is extremely irritating (kindest word I could come up with). I have no idea who wanted this or who had issues with not having it, but it's the stupidest implementation I've ever seen. I can't even count the number of times I've pressed "QUIT" instead of "Log Out" automatically, and it pisses me off to no end that I have to keep restarting the game over and over and over and over and OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!

PLEASE, for the love of God and everything holy, REMOVE IT! OR make it possible to enable it in the menu options. This is NOT QOL implementation!

Not a perfect solution, but since you’re on PC there is an addon to put logout back on the bottom linked in the other thread on this issue:

It's absurd they added in a way for a controller or handheld PC user to quickly quit the game using only the controller?

It's more like why want something like this included with the controller/console ui in the first place

It's muscle memory after 10 years of playing the game. This hasn't been an issue before, so why all of a sudden implement it?!? WHO asked for it here in the forums??

It's funny, I didn't come to the forum to comment about this, and frankly I wasn't even paying attention when this began happening, but once I noticed it, I have become slightly frustrated because I've been so used to the previous process of logging out and/or switching characters at the character select menu.

I'm grateful the option exists, and thank you ZOS for implementing it, but I think it might be best if it were placed just above the Log Out option, because with the way people play the game and the way controller navigation works, It might be more convenient. If I want to actually quit the game, I know that I now have access to that option.

Whether it came from these forums are not is irrelevant, as less than 1% of the player base will ever post on them, but enough people have obviously asked for it enough that they added it as part of their first big QoL patch of the year

Yes. I even opened my own ticket thinking this was a bug until I slowed down and looked at what was happening. I still do it... muscle memeory.

Your muscle memory will adapt and the option was necessary and should have been there from the beginning. I don't think "never change anything because I'll have to get used to something new" is a good reason to avoid making sensible improvements!

If they change it back again, I really just hope that they'll only change the controller UI back.

Because on keyboard+mouse, where that option has been in exactly that spot for the last 10 years, it's exactly the other way 'round - I'd be very confused and qould probably misclick frequently if it changed places with something else.
