I think it’s specifically a console UI think to match up with the K/M UI.

If people are used to the gamepad UI, I think the result was that the “Logout” and “Quit” got swapped, so people are being hit by muscle memory.

Can’t confirm though since I don’t use console UI

yea with Gamepads the bottom right trigger button (R2 on playstation controllers) gets you to the bottom of lists so i use that when logging out, this will definitely be a frustrating change for when i play eso on pc again.

i hope we don't get the exit button on Playstation and Xbox

I COMPLETELY AGREE!! It's so maddening to constantly having to restart the game over and over again.

Oh, that's what's happening. I was wondering why logging out was abruptly shutting down the game since the update. I'm used to just going to the bottom and logging out.

If this comes to XBox then as stated above, you tap Right Trigger to go to the bottom of the menu and then press A to log out, so muscle memory will have me hitting Quit instead of Logout all the time. They are really trying to make everyone quit with all their decisions aren't they? Lol

Well I just quit by mistake again!! so annoyed with this update that everytime I click exit by mistake I don't bother log back in.

So this is interesting, I wonder how it will work for us on console. When we log out, it takes us back to the character selection screen. Then we can close the app. If we quit, will it close the app automatically? I will have to wait and see.

Not swapped. The gamepad UI never had a “quit”. You had to logout to character screen then “quit” from there. I think you could do esc-<quit> though. Don’t know about console, this was PC with gamepad.

Not swapped. The gamepad UI never had a “quit”. You had to logout to character screen then “quit” from there. I think you could do esc-<quit> though. Don’t know about console, this was PC with gamepad.

Consoles never had a Quit option separate from Log Out. In fact for Xbox you can only Log Out to the character select screen, then press 'B' one more time to get to the title screen, but if you wanted to quit the game entirely you have to press the Home button center controller, find ESO in the list of recent Apps, press the options button and then finally Quit.
