Swap Molten Weapons and Fiery Grip in the DK class Trees?

It dawned on me that the DK pull is rather lackluster for Add pull.

As a NB Off-Tank I can get Leashing Soul to the point where it only costs 3K magicka (using class signature resource return) that also restores 400 stamina and also applies Major Breach, great utility, but means that one of the DK's notable class features (thankfully powercrept given the sheer utility of pulls in PvE) seems rather lackluster in my opinion. (though I don't typically DK tank much outside of normals).

What if Fiery Grip was placed under the Earthen Heart Ability tree and swapped with Molten Weapons?

Thus casting Fiery Grip would buff you and your allies, and give some stamina restore too. The 100% return on failed pull could be removed or not. Though possibly problematic with PvP Oakensoul DK builds that can now source Major Brutality/Minor Savagery all in one skill through chains of devastation (but hey, I don't know how popular OakenDK is).

    Following up on hybridization efforts and adding Minor Sorcery to Mountain's Blessings would also be greatly appreciated. I don't necessarily mind power creep in some cases, as in the case of the DK pull it was something that severely diminished the value of other tank specs who didn't have the skill. Now they can sacrifice an armor slot or a scribing skill to get it, which I'm fine with. My beef is that the DK skill hasn't kept up, and it's still just a pull, albeit with some very short buffs now.

    We know ZOS can implement 'flip' skills, such as Crystal Fragments and NB's bow - I really, really hope they start revamping skills like gap closers where when cast from range it's a gap closer, but if cast in melee range it turns into a different skill. Like DK chains could be a pull from range, then a debuff + damage skill in melee or something. Or perhaps a tether-to-enemy-DoT skill. THis would also really help balance things out between melee and ranged specs and make gap closers have more value that isn't eclipsed by movement speed buffs. Race Against Time is seen a lot in PvP because the speed buff is strong and it serves as both a gap closer and a gap maker, making it a very dense skill compared to stuff like Chains of Devastation, which is just a gap closer.

    ...and how exactly would this benefit molten weapons as an ability by removing its synergy with earthen heart passives and giving it ardent flame passives instead?

    Unless they redesign molten weapons, I don't see this happening. This would basically ruin molten weapons.

    Wouldn’t you be using Stone Giant as a form of spammable? (That also increases DoT damage ticks through the Stagger debuff?)

    Also the Molten Weapons duration doesn’t really synergize with the earthen heart passive all that well:

    A buff that needs to be reapplied every 20s on a skill that has a base duration of 30s (or 60s with another morph).

    But it would let a DK tank provide the minor savagery buff more easily.
