Sorc flappies with the red glowie skill style.
1. I don't want to see other players' Companions in general, they are even more annoying than Sorc pets or Warden bears
2. During event now half of the things on my screen are companions from other players - they serve no purpose other than just cluttering my screen, I can't see any enemy or anything because of companions
3. Give us an option to permanently disable companions display
Thanks

If they were hidden, you'd see enemies dying with no one to attack them (and you'd see those enemies attacking the air) and you'd also be healed by nothing at all. That's not to mention how some animations don't work when certain actors are hidden.

The red Skill Style for them is throwing me so much. I see them at Dolmens and I try to attack them because they look like an enemy lol.
I don't see them giving us the ability to hide Companions though, for the same reason we can't give them helmets or change anything about their head/facial appearance. They want other players to see them and for them to be "recognizable".

My eyes are very old and I play in a darkened room, the dolmens during this event look like driving at night in Las Vegas. Between the skill styles, the pet styles, the bright gaudy outfits, pets and the Arcanist green beams swiping the entire dolmen, it's pretty hard to tell where the enemies are. If I concentrate on the red circles as the daedra drop I can pick out one but it is much harder to get much XP. That's also assuming I'm not confused with the players that have some skill that gives them a red circle around their feet.
It would also be helpful if the remains of the bosses would disappear before the next session. Pretty hard to find a daedra when it is standing inside the remains of a giant flesh atronach.
What I would suggest is the option to remove or turn down other player's effects and pets when the player concentration reaches a certain size. The option would only remove the effects locally for the player's client, not for everyone.
Personally, I'm giving up doing any content during this event where large numbers of other players exist. I planned on leveling up some alts but I'm getting so little XP on one lvl 24 toon with level 20 gear that it will take for ever to get to lvl 30. Sometimes I can't even get the dolmen final boss after laying down an AOE and using every skill I have. This means I don't get the reward box.

I think we should never see (or hear) other players' companions, pets and especially Sorc pets or Warden bears under any circumstances (maybe except combat pets in PVP). I never understood the interest in infesting other players' screens with junk that is of no use to us in the game. But at the very least it should be optional.

Hey, that's my bear you're calling "junk". My bear tanks better than some players do. Does more damage than some players, too.(Tongue-in-cheek, but honestly true at times.)
I don't mind seeing other players' companions and pets. I always enjoy seeing other bears in a group. I agreed with the decision to hide companions in cities, but anywhere else is fine with me. For me, all the amusement park skill effects are worse. I can hardly see what's happening when there are a lot of players attacking something.

What server are you on? I haven’t been doing dolmens since the event started but I’d be willing to do some out of the way zones with you if you are on PS NA. Hopefully there are some that aren’t so busy.
Maybe they could do a compromise where they turn into small wisps or something for other players visually so you can see where damage is coming from but it's a lot less visually

How would this work with ability animations which require the weapon type being used to be visible? This compromise would also lead to people complaining about wisps being everywhere.

Thanks for the offer but I'm not even sure I want to continue playing ESO. There are many aspects of the game, and probably MMOs in general, that I tire of. I've gotten old and my health keeps me from playing long hours like once did. I've gotten tired of the grind and the feeling I need to login daily or do everything on a checklist.
I'm not saying I'm quitting but I will likely pull away from events, daily routines and pursuits. I have a lot of story quests to do so I'll keep busy in ESO. You wouldn't believe the backlog of single player games I own and have barely touched, maybe someday I'll be able to cure my MMO addiction and play those again.
