Yeah, basically, nothing is actually changing from the current system, we're all just getting an extra quest reward of a reusable costume version of those disguises. Really, the best possible way they could've done this.

They will be retroactive if you have the related quest complete. We'll have more info on that in patch notes (we are staging those now).

I've been dearly holding on to the Hollow Moon garb for ages now. Please don't change it's appearance again. Thank you.

The understanding is the outfit should not change. It is just being converted to a costume. But we will pass this on to the team just to make sure they are aware of not changing the way things look.

Thank you very much for conveying the sentiment.

One thing that I will note is that the desguise USED to allow for helmet or helmetless. When helmetless, it caused the character to have long flowing locks of hair. Then after the update in 2018 (I think) the option to go helmetless with the desguise was removed.

So something may have to be worked on to allow for helmet versus helmetlessness again.

The original change went beyond that though and was quite bad. The forum picture is dead now (?) but the costume was totally changed and quite ugly. @ZOS_GinaBruno came to the rescue and it retained it's look which was super nice of the team to keep consistent.

This is the old thread for anyone interested. We discuss some of the other desguises too.

I only have one vamp character (who uses a skin to act as a guise since argonians look weird to me with the pasty white layer), but I imagine people won't like this change due to losing access to a way to hide the vampire paleness without using a skin. Is there a possibility to add an option to these converted disguises that would allow us to hide vampirism?

Or even better give us a "vampirism deactivated skin" that is long needed anyway. Something like the hide helmet/shoulder. I also got one dark elf that i wanted to look as dark as possible but also want to keep vampire for RP purposes.
Right now i have to use some of the few skins that are pretty close to turn of vampirism but you cant use revealing outfits on them.

We'll still have the physical item disguises that will still work the way they do now. So we're not losing the option for those that want to use it.

With that said, a separate "hide skin" toggle would be a great feature for ZOS to add.

I was wondering about this disguise. The quest was changed after the patch for the Justice System was added. I don't think you can get it any more but I still have one.
