Wth overland difficulty changes coming soon, it's a good chance to rethink the quest guidance.

Like others above me have posted already, I too prefer questing as it is right now!

And I am mainly a quester, 17 characters have fully completed cadwell's gold, all 20 of my characters have fully completed cadwell's silver. All my 20 characters have fully completed the main questline and the coldharbour zone. This is done by 100% completing all zones, all quests, and side quests on each of them. (My 18th char is on the third zone of the final alliance)

Questing is relaxing, fun, and a nice change of pace between doing taxing things like dungeons/IA/etc!

PS: I am one of those players who is almost always in overland.

    More difficult overland coming soon?

Yeah sure, I'll believe that when I see it - and even if it happens, I expect ZoS definition of 'increased difficulty' to simply mean adding more HP to everything so the whole world is a giant bullet sponge.

As for 'arrows' related to quests and puzzles - no idea what you are talking about.

    Removing quest markers?

Yeah no, turn off the elements and options in the interface you don't want to see and ask for more options where they don't exist.

    More puzzles with increased difficulty?

Whatever - I don't waste time with any that aren't obvious, and wouldn't in the future, though if increased difficulty simply means more time and more annoyance, I doubt that would go over well with most.

As for making quests more rewarding, they could start by at least making them as rewarding as mindlessly killing mobs on repeat for gold and XP.

They should promote group play anyway. Not everyone is a loner, and ESO is still partly an MMO. Perhaps give Quest Puzzles the ability to be solved solo, but grouping up makes it a bit easier?
Dungeons. Trials. Battlegrounds. Cyrodiil. Imperial City. World Bosses. Incursions. The game is already full of group content, which promotes group play.

For me, extra difficulty will make questing even more boring. It's not going to be more challenging, it will just be more tedious, since everything will take longer to kill. I lament that my main quester is my sorc and not my NB, because if they don't make extra difficulty into a toggle, I'd just rather skip spriggans that take twice the time to kill, with no extra mechanics, or anything to make it at least a bit interesting, fight-wise.

Now they want to make the story part of the game more difficult which is the blood of ESO.
Just don't know what to say.

Yeah I pretty much agree with this...I'm sorta in the wait and see mode, but I hope anything they add will be set on a toggle.

...I'm just worried that this will foster forced grouping and Gatekeeping, which I feel is already a Issue in PVP and Raiding and I just don't want to see it run rampant in Overland too.
