I know people who've done battlegrounds more or less daily since the recipe came out and never seen it, (we're talking in the thousands of battleground matches). My only beef with this recipe is that it seems to be a hidden mechanic where the material needed to craft it (Mourning dew) essentially can't drop from Cyrodiil nodes unless the character has learnt the recipe. I know someone who knows the recipe, and when we do the exact same farm route in Cyrodiil he gets 5-10 mourning dew/hour and we get 0 every time. Thankfully you can get Mourning Dew (for reselling purposes) from IA and IC now, but it makes no sense to me to "gatekeep" the crafting materials from Cyrodiil nodes this way.
The materials are too rare, and the recipe even more so. I picked up the molten torte recipe, and they aren't really worth crafting either.

the materials actually arent that rare anymore
since they can drop from provisioning satchels in both the IC imperial fragment vendor and archive vendors, the price on mourning dew has significantly tanked
2 years ago they were going for approx 1.5-2 mil a piece, now they are down to like under 300k each (and still dropping i think)
the chefs thesis itself to actually make the recipe is still extremely rare though

I know I sold 50 of them when my whitestrakes keys were converted to fragments. But still 300k is expensive for what you get.

I was hoping to pick one up since I have the other two recipes but 100 million gold would be too rich for my taste, might be cheaper on PS though.

on PC in the past ive seen it being listed not for just 100 million gold, but for several hundred million gold
i think i did see one listing on TTC once that was for basically 1 billion gold (999,999,999), not sure if that was a serious listing or just to be ridiculous because the price of this has gone for upwards of 500 mil
im not sure how much a drop rate change for it would affect the price if its still exceptionally rare
I think this is bugged somehow, or we as players are extremely extremely unlucky. I have not seen a single drop for this entire patch despite chance of it being increased.
Nice! Take advantage and sell some tortes before the event is over.I got one today on xbox NA.

This is a different recipe. It is much more common than the one from BGs.

It is but they were asking what the cyrodiil recipe looked like. It is a component of making the final recipe so semi-relevant.
To keep from going too far off topic, I've been trying on and off for the Chef's Thesis for years and haven't seen one drop ever. Nobody in my friend group has either and one of them was in a dedicated battlegrounds guild when he still played. I have pretty much every f2p style, recipe, furnishing plan, and cosmetic in the game except the White-Gold War Torte and it's definitely not from lack of trying. I'm ok with rare/priceless items but the droprate is lower than any other priceless item and most of those also had their droprate bumped up in the past so they're no longer as rare as they used to be so I always found it odd this is the last holdout on that.
