Getting Kicked from PvP - please explain

Queues over 100+ in GH and nearly the same in BR, I had to settle for the joke 7 day campaign the last 2 nights, now I cannot even log into ESO. This game is a joke. So Unreliable.

Usually if you crash or get kicked, you will not lose your spot in the campaign right away. Today I also crashed 4 times, annoying but on Windows 11 I am used to it. Somehow ESO just acts weird on 11. If you relog right away you just start where you left, even if you are in queue the queue counts you down further if you crashed, you do not start from the beginning again.

I got disconnected twice last night on PC NA.

First time was during a large 3-way fight over Roe, so I guess it was understandable, but I was inside the walls in the thick of things several times with no problems (other than getting killed), then got disconnected while I was riding toward a resource and being fired upon by siege.

Second time was at a different keep IIRC, but near a lot of players of the same alliance as before. I swear, sometimes I suspect that some players deliberately use certain skills or stack procs that they know will cause players around them to lag out or disconnect. /shrug

ok, today, I was play about 4 hours, 2 sessions. PVP...

I NEVER got kicked once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did something change????

What did happen in big fights, my ping would jump to 999+ and no of my kills would fire, but I could run around, then suddenly it would catch up.

But I did not get kicked in two or 3 HUGE fights....

Progress??????

Yesterday I also never got kicked but ping would jump to 999+ and I really could no do anything.

Same thing happened today, but it happened a lot and finally got kicked after 40 minutes.

I was unplayable....

but something got 'better'

If you are having issues in Vengence this points more to something about your setup/your end/location, for all the criticism of the experimental PVP instance, the one thing that is pretty common across the board is the reduction to no/very little lag, even when you are in groups multiple times bigger than than the entire server population in normal cyro campaign.

Yes, I get it, it is experimental. Nothing has changed with my set up. CPU/GPU monitor, normal. Latency would jump from 999+-235ms. Speed test were normal for my bandwidth on my end.

It was a Saturday night.

Suggestions what I can be looking for?

If you're PC the starting point would be Addons - turn them all off and try it

But, I am playing a templar with 1H&S
All skills on that bar work

Other bar, I have a lightning staff.
When in combat:

Heavy attack only work 20% of the time, I hold, and nothing
Light Attacks, no issue
I also have Cleansing Ritual, Spear Shards, Piercing Javelin, Solar Flare and Sun fire.
Only spear shards is reliably usable. The rest are greyed out most of the time. Only occasionally they fire
I still have enough Magicka

And all my skills are Magicka based? What is Stamina used for?

Btw, where do I submit my feedback for Vengeance?
It is not bad.

Things seem to be going a bit better. I got kicked after 2 hours.
My Ping was good, but big battles, the lag was terrible

Anyone else getting kicked?

The battles are huge which is cool.

Do all weapons do the same amount of damage?

the frequency that this is happening suggests that you need to examine your setup

1. Remove all add ons. stop anything else on your pc running except eso
2. test your ping. not in pvp. just a quiet area no other people.
3. run a constant ping -t in the background. when you crash.. see what the ping times are - this will confirm theres a correlation between lag spikes and d/c's
4. consider change of ISPs. different ISPs will have different routes to ZOS. alternatively...
5. use a VPN.
6. you could change your entire setup or move house but this is a bit extreme

worth also grouping with a friend and seeing if they get kicked at the same time as you. if they dont and you do (when you're doing the same thing) - it may help you narrow the issue. good luck

3. did not try this
4. Changing my vpn would be tough, I have limited choice - however before vengeance, same issues - getting kick, although Vengeance was a less frequent. I got kicked 2 in 3 times. Usually only once a session. Also never got 'can't mount when in combat'
5. I have tried with and without a vpn - no difference
6. If I had the money, I would....

If you don't mind - what did you notice different in Vengeance vs ROC (Regular old Cyrodiil) for performance?

if your ping is that variable.. and you're getting 500+ in pve - then theres really no hope and thats probably where your key issue your side is (btw im not suggesting this is all your fault - ZOS is aware of its own performance issues).

have you considered a different ISP (suggestion 4) - i know when i moved in the uk from one provider to another it dropped signficantly because they used different methods to get to the backbone.

for me, vengeance was fine - but then again i didnt have any problems in ROC as you call it.

I doubt it is my ISP as my web browsing is fine, and my local ping is also low.

Wondering if distance from MegaServer makes a difference

I tried a VPN.
I think servers more south of the US are better.
I was on for about an hour, it got laggy during big fights, but I did not get kicked!
Lasted in a big fight to get a 41k tik!
