Is that the same horse I paid either crowns or seals for that y'all are giving away on Twitch? Y'all already gave away a costume I paid crowns for. What gives? Can I get a refund for those items?

    Thanks @ZOS_Kevin.

The road map is a great start, but I will reiterate that there are numerous systems in ESO currently that are on life support and need immediate and concentrated focus asap.

BGs are awful, as is the state of combat in general. The historic habit of waiting until PTS day 1 to alert us of what combat and game systems adjustments are coming has always been too little, too late, and purposefully creates drama, stress, and anxiety.

You need to communicate what the devs are focusing on for PTS to us now. Once again, had you informed us 3 months prior about BGs, we could have helped steer you from the absolute tragedy that is currently driving people away in droves.

Please ask the managers to try something new for once and give us more details. Ask us for our opinion on it. Why hasn't there been a simple survey yet asking about our thoughts on U44 or various game systems?

it's only ever been a reward so no.

How can I claim the new mount?

    @ZOS_Kevin

    Happy New Year!

Appreciate the communication so thank you, do you have even a rough idea of an ETA for the quarterly roadmaps graphics. I understand you don't have them ready at the moment but if we knew roughly when they will it would be appreciated. I'm trying to convince a couple of buddies to come back to the game and knowing where it's heading would be a great help.

How can I claim the new mount?

The elk is available in about 7 hours, per Nvidia’s site: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/rewards/

The horse should be available from Twitch in 16 days.

So I log in, click on rewards and wait for it?

In 7 hours I will be asleep as I am not in the correct time zone... still possible to do this tomorrow?

I just don't know what to do from the information that this reward is available to actually claim it? I guess I need to do something before I can claim it and here I am already lost...

Is it not possible for console players to access this one then? Last time we were able to with an account but this time it seems like we need to actually physically be able to play it on a PC to get the reward?

Love being a second class citizen despite paying 2 subscriptions to be able to play this game.

Edit: as far as I can tell actually it’s only ps players (which I am) that are locked out of this? Which makes sense.

I'm uncertain why it would cut out PS only but include Xbox, as Nvidia's site specifically makes the claim that the promotion is "available for GeForce gamers with a GeForce GTX 10 Series and above" (though see below). I didn't think Xbox included an Nvidia GTX or RTX GPU. Last I'd checked it was AMD technology in those boxes.

Now Nvidia has these rewards front and center on their "GeForce NOW" page, which is a subscription service that does not require Nvidia hardware to use. But on the GeForce NOW section of their site, they brand these particular rewards (there's more than just the elk for ESO - there are games like WoW and Fallout 76 involved too) as "GeForce LAN Mission" rewards. Advertising something that can't be gotten through GeForce NOW under the GeForce NOW section of their site on the GeForce NOW rewards page would be...a choice.

The word "Mission" now apparently just means "do whatever in game so long as you play for 50 continuous minutes." The "LAN" bit is tied to a "LAN party" currently being this weekend in four locations around the world.

That "party" ends with the weekend, on the 6th, and the rewards will be delivered by the 9th, per a friend who tried to get them through GeForce NOW today. (I can't actually test with AMD hardware myself because the free NOW memberships are, surprise surprise, "sold out" in my region.) I'm unclear why the ESO roadmap says this goes through the 11th if the promotion ends with the event that ends on the 6th. Nothing that I could find from Nvidia or its content creators mentions the date of the 11th.

Nvidia's own content creators also have contradictory information about whether this promotion can be done just by streaming through NOW or requires your own Nvidia hardware on PC to get. Some say you need Nvidia hardware; others say you can use GeForce NOW instead. You don't need Nvidia hardware to stream GeForce NOW, nor do you need a rig really capable of gaming (that's the very thing NOW is designed to be a solution for), but you do need a PC with an internet connection. Google's AI most informatively mentions that said PC will need to be capable of "graphics output" to see the video game, however.

Ty so much for all the info!

I thought Sony was locked out bc on the GeForce app it seems like you could play games from a multitude of PC libraries and Xbox library, so I thought Xbox players could also access it.

I’m honestly still not really clear on it and it seems like there’s conflicting info based on your comment, so I will probably just move on and accept I will not get the nice glowy green elk bc I definitely don’t have a good pc or own a pc copy of the game. Awk well

I would suggest keeping an eye out for this elk to appear in other offers down the line. It was not created ad hoc for this promotional event, and it may well appear elsewhere. The thoroughbred upcoming on Twitch this month was offered originally on Twitch back in 2022 and then again through Nvidia last May, for example. And last October's GeForce NOW offering (the Stag-Heart Skull Sallet) was from the Reaper's Harvest crown crates, which debuted in 2017. I would find it hard to believe that they would only offer this elk once for a promotion of one week/weekend only.

I don't think the rewards are earned by just playing the game with Nvidia app open. I think that the rewards are earned only by playing through Geforce Now. I have played more than 50 minutes with nvidia app open and no rewards. Have restarted the app, as directed, and nothing.

I was able to redeem the mount, and I'm pretty sure I do not have GeForce Now. At least it says Join Now when I click on it. (I created an Nvidia account a long time ago, so not sure what is there.)

    It was a bit messy.

I had the app open (logged in to my account).
At first I played more than 50 min by launching through Steam (as usual). Logged off ESO. Checked the Redeem part of the app without relogging. Nothing was there.

Noticed that there was an option to to play ESO on the app. I clicked on it (never done this before). It redirected to the already opened Steam. Launched ESO from Steam as usual, played for more than 50 min. Logged off ESO. Checked Redeem part. Nothing.

Relogged the GeForce app, and the option to redeem appeared. Copied the code and redeemed it in game through the Crown store.

Not sure if clicking on play on the app itself had any effect since I did not relog it after the first 50 min.

It sounds like you played through GeForce now. You need ESO through steam or epic to play through GeForce now. If this is true than it's just another thing for players to get upset about. I'm guessing most people don't play through steam or epic.

Edit 2: I do not know much about GeForce Now, but isn't is a service that allows you to play the games that you bought on the cloud (as in not on your PC). I was definitely playing the second session on my laptop because all of my addons were present.

I can now confirm that one does NOT need to play it via Geforce Now.

Register or login to your Nvidia Account on the Nvidia App.

    Launch ESO there.

    Play for 50min.

    Exit ESO.

    Log off from Nvidia App.

    Re-log to Nvidia App.

Look for the reward. Here the description on the Nvidia website of the FAQ in the link above is a bit misleading maybe. For me, I got a notification on the left menue bar (the gift symbol got a green 1). Which I clicked and got my code that I redeemed within the crown store.

Thanks for clarifying. It seems like this will only work with steam version of the game. I can not play ESO through nVidia app, it's not there, but all my steam games are.

maybe so, I do use Steam. The new version of the nVidia app is pretty nice, there is a redeem section where all the stuff automatically pops up for me. I think I did do some account linking first though.

So what happened to the skirt (and legs) on the elven hero costume?

It’s not the same exact costume, if they repeat what they did with the Nord hero costume. It should be a modern “10th Anniversary” variant “themed” on the original (per the roadmap).

ETA: comparison links for the Nord Hero armor below

Thanks for clarifying. It seems like this will only work with steam version of the game. I can not play ESO through nVidia app, it's not there, but all my steam games are.

maybe so, I do use Steam. The new version of the nVidia app is pretty nice, there is a redeem section where all the stuff automatically pops up for me. I think I did do some account linking first though.

I do not think I did any linking with Steam on my own. I installed the app yesterday (before that I had GeForce experience on my old laptop, but not on this one) and immediately noticed that ESO was there ( I do not see anything ESO related on in GeForce Experience on my old laptop). So, not sure how it got connected.

Any attempt of getting a piece of concrete info about what is actually coming is as efficient as squeezing juice out of a stone. And equally fun.

We know that there will be reveal in January and then in April. Responding to every specific question with "you need to wait for the reveal" has nothing to do with actually addressing those questions.

I can’t think of any other industry where a company says more information about what’s coming up is going to be revealed on [date] and [date] and some people take the attitude “That’s not good enough! We want answers NOW!” The sense of entitlement just boggles my mind. I too I’m looking forward to those answers, but I do not feel I have the right to demand them before ZOS is ready to give them.

If that was sparked by my comment, I was pointing at a general approach, not demanding the thursdays reveal details now...

And maybe am a bit old to get modern marketing standards, but I don't believe that wanting to know what I'm paying for is "entitlement".

It’s called planning. This game requires a significant time and financial investment.

I don’t want to invest either knowing there’s a big, ambiguous change coming in a few months. It’s better to pause and wait.

ZOS has a history of teasing updates while keeping them vague. Players make blind assumptions, only to face huge disappointments. For example, they hyped a “PvP update” on the roadmap for months leading up to U44 last year. When it finally arrived, no one was happy because we all expected more meaningful improvements than what was delivered.

This pattern is frustrating. Stop with the ambiguous communication around updates—it only builds false hope and inevitable disappointment when expectations aren’t met.
