Would you still subscribe to ESO+ if the Craft Bag was base game?

I'd asked in this thread: The ESO Craft Bag: A Convenience or a Gatekeeper to Enjoyable Gameplay? if anyone had seen a poll on whether people would still sub or not if access to the Craft Bag was made base game, and it seems no one at least remembers seeing one, so here we are.

The Craft Bag is, of course, one of the main features of ESO+. There are numerous other "major" features, though, such as double bank and furniture slots, dyeing Costumes and Weapons, and the monthly Crown stipend. Plus there are more minor ones, such as the experience boost and getting discounts on CS items, as well as the monthly free thing like paintings or whatever they've decided on.

As someone who largely subs because of the Craft Bag thanks to my hoarding tendencies and also because I do a [snip]load of crafting, I'd personally still pay for ESO+ if the Craft Bag were made base game. I rely WAY too much on the double bank space, as well as double furniture slots. I RP way too much to give up Costume Dyeing. I save up my monthly Crowns for when something catches my attention or when we have a particularly juicy Crown Crate season. But the main question is just HOW many people subscribe ONLY for the Craft Bag, and would let their sub lapse or even end permanently if that was moved to base game?

Note: The 'Other' option is because I tried to think if there would be any other responses than a yes or no, but my brain is not braining so well atm and I couldn't think of anything specific so...it's there as a catch-all for any other answers lol.

Yes, because ESO Plus also gives us:
    - access to all DLC, except current chapter.
    - Discounts in the crown store
    - Free items in the crown store.
    Like the Crown Store Companions.

    - double housing furniture limits
    - double bank space
    - double transmute storage

    - 10 percent bonus to Experience, Gold, Archival Fortunes, Alliance Points, Telvar Stones, Crafting Inspiration, and Trait Research Speed.

    - Costume Dyeing.
though i think it's odd this isn't available for free, i guess that's why there's Crown dye stamps

I stopped my eso+ because I stopped wanting to give my money to ZOS, so regardless of craft bag status I probably won't subscribe unless they really turn things around somehow. That said, I would still get eso+ without the craft bag if I were in the mood to buy eso+.

The main reason for me to get ESO+, is the crafting bag.

If that was removed from ESO+ and made into base game, it is one less reason to buy ESO+.

Double housing furniture limits and double bank space is very nice, I can go without them.

No. But then I buy everything I want as it comes. Despite having + I still own all DLCs and expansions. If they continue to charge for seasons the way they have with DLCs and expansions, I'd still be paying them on the regular.

For me, the main reason I have ESO+ is for DLC access. So long as ESO+ lets me access the plethora of content I'd otherwise have to spend a fortune on to access, it'll be worthwhile.

Personally, the Craft Bag, Bank limits and Furniture limits could all be made baseline and it wouldn't affect my decision to obtain ESO+ in the slightest.

While at the same time, I can think of many things that could be a part of ESO+ to make it more enticing for players:

    - An additional Outfit slot for all characters
    - An additional Armory slot for all characters
    - Some form of mount training improvement (Allowing more training sessions per day, or training grants increased progress)
    - Gold discounts on various in-game expenditures (Pack Merchants, CP/Skill resets, vendor items etc)
    - Skill line progress bonus (I.e. Guilds/Alliance War)
    - Bonus loot from Daily rewards
    - Etc.

unfortunately, the main draw from eso+ for me is the doubling of bank space. I basically can't play the game without it lol.
The extra DLC's are bonuses, craft bag too. although I ofc couldn't live without its existence, due to free ESO+ existing, you can stock up on an insane amount of mats to dump into it during that time. playing as an endgame player with a *** ton of gear in my bank while also staying organized cannot be done without 480 bank space.

The additional unique non bulk mats like style materials etc just sit in my inventory, sure I could sell them but it's more effort than to just leave them. I'd probably make more gold from not having ESO+ than having it cause I'd just vendor it right away. You don't really need the craft bag unless you're a hoarder imo, although this is from a long term perspective + well organized perspective. time spent doing inventory management is wasted then, time is money as well so I can see that perspective.

I am working on reducing my bank usage + almost done buying all DLC's though, so once that is done, it could be no longer neccesary we'll see.

I don't subscribe now, so I couldn't stop. I would consider buying the craft bag as a permanent account upgrade (like any race, any alliance or the new companions) but it depends on how much it costs. I don't have most of the assistants because I think they're over-priced for what they are.

But if the majority of people would still subscribe without the craft bag then ZOS wouldn't be losing much money by making it available separately. They might even make more if people who don't subscribe were willing to pay for it.

Obviously the poll is currently showing that's not the case, but it would still be a mistake for ZOS to assume their first approach must be the only profitable one.

It would be tough to give up free costume dying but harder still to justify ESO+ without the craftibag. I don't care about DLC dungeons or trials. I don't care much about housing space.

This, I’m not subscribed presently. And I bought all the zone DLCs already, I don’t run dungeons enough to justify it for those.

Yea I think it retains value still and the longer the game is out, the more valuable it gets in comparison to purchasing each DLC separately.

The other thing is I imagine with seasons coming up and the (very high) likelihood that we see season passes with reward tracks that ESO+ will either give it to us for free or it be heavily discounted (I would think, but not positive on that), which would add even more value.

Craft bag is huge, but there’s a lot of other good stuff.

It's not a matter of "ESOPlus or not ESOPlus", it's more "Playing ESO or not playing ESO".
The moment I decide I play ESO, ESOPlus must be active, and it's not only because of the craft bag but all the advantages.
Still, I hope to see more advantages added to ESOPlus, and I would totally be okay with giving craft bag to everyone for free.

The game has to be monetized, so yes, I would support whatever the subscription model was. If players didn't,they would certainly go overt p2w.

I think the B2P model is fairly implemented in ESO.

I do not want to see the craft bag included with the base game because it would certainly result in a significant number of lost subs. Again, I think the existing monetization model is good and I don't want to see it disrupted.

Be careful of what you wish for....

No. I stopped subscribing for a couple of months to see what it was like, and the only thing I missed was the craft bag.

If my bank space was halved, I could easily get rid of 80% of the stuff in my bank. The experience and other boosts aren't enough to entice me. I'm not into housing, so I wouldn't miss double slots in houses. I own all the chapters and all the story DLCs. I own some of the dungeon DLCs and would give up on or buy the others. I still have crowns left over from my last renewal, so I wouldn't miss the crowns either. And I'd just buy crowns if I needed them.

That's ESO+ as it stands now. If ZOS were to add more benefits, my answer could change.

Yes, I would, but I think they would need to add additional crowns every month to really make me feel like I'm getting good value for it. MMO's are almost always games that you have to subscribe to in order to keep playing it, so I have no problem with that. And it is nice to always have access to all dungeons without having to buy them separately. And the extra bank space (and furnishing space) is a must regardless of whether you have access to the craft bag.

But even if there is still plenty of incentive to get Plus without the bag, you can't deny that the bag is a major draw to getting Plus. I just don't know how you play this game without it. And I know some people who do writs on 10+ characters who don't have Plus. To me, that is insane!

I have three accounts and ESO+ on two.....

The third account is a nightmre to try and do anything, the craft bag is a loss but so are many of the other things!

Tbh I really miss all the DLC access and I would never even consider decorating a house without plus, it's easy to forget all those achievement furnishings that aren't accessable without the zones.

Buying all the DLC's is not an option for me. 🙂
