My Goal:
Banner with fire + class mastery + savagery/prophecy
So far I bought banner after doing a lot of pvp. But the other 2 elude me. I have several of say one kind (knockback for example) so I'm guessing these aren't curated. I checked TTC, but for class mastery it's minimum 4 million, and savagery 8 million. Are my only options really to do a bunch of daily world bosses and delves?
I see...thanks for all the information all....I think I'll pass on scribing...sounds miserable.

The warden class mastery effect is pretty strong, and there are some good scripts to combine together and make a pretty strong skills, but nothing truly stands out that I've seen. Also, I'm not seeing any content creators post how to's beyond the basics. Nobody's posting recipes for script skills that are uncommonly strong.
So ya, I'm just not seeing the appeal to put into the effort. And, by the way, I have 18 toons that know every script yet released. I just haven't figured out how to really take advantage of completing the grind, but that might just be me. It seems pretty niche and only really valuable if you're trying to fill in a skill that your toon doesn't already have access to easily.
Oh, too, I relied heavily on the "script tracker" add on to keep track of what toons knew what scripts, and what activities needed to be done to get the missing scripts for each toon. It sped up the process tremendously.

I'm assuming you don't raid or PvP.

each trial weekly quest coffer would give 1 scrap
due to account wide achievements, each character can just use the scraps as they get them to increment the achievement
once you get the achievement, the class mastery auto unlocks on the character that used the last scrap, and then you can just buy it for other characters from the scholarium vendor
doing normal trials is definitely an easy option, and if you have 10 characters, thats 10 scraps per week just from the quest coffers
your first trial boss kill per day per account also awards additional scraps (amount depends on trial difficulty)
if you utilize other sources as well, then i think you could unlock class mastery in as little as 2-3 weeks depending on how many sources your utilizing

I run in PvP guild raid every day for at least two hours. As I said, there are some niche purposes for some of the scribing skills, but for the most part it's a bust that doesn't justify the grind. If just a couple people in raid group have the class mastery skill and the banner skill running then nobody else needs them.
If I'm missing something, can you please post some script skill recipes that are OP and considered mandatory for PvP?

Turning in a scroll return quest gives 4 class script fragments/day, in addition to the tasks you outlined. That's why us PvP mains were able to unlock it so fast.
Can anyone tell me all the ways there are to get unbound scripts? I have every available script learned on all my characters, but they were all bound. Never once have I received a tradable one. What are people doing to farm the ones that can be traded/sold?CatoUnchained wrote: »Necrotech_Master wrote: »one of the fastest ways i found to do class mastery was trials

Yeah it took me 10 days to get all 50 scraps. And while I PvP in Cyrodiil every day, no actual PvP is required to get them. You just need to get a scroll quest from your Alliance Base General, and then be in the zone when your faction places it. You could literally never leave the base and get your 50 scraps. (However, be prepared to be berated for standing around wasting a valuable population cap slot and not helping.)

You just said "as long as someone in the group is running them". So you answered your own question.

Yes, my question is, where have people gotten them from? Killing a skeever? World boss? Harvesting nodes? Hireling mails? I was looking for specifics.
I've personally looted thousands of bound scripts from rewards containers, so I'm not convinced that they drop from those.
UESP wrote:It is possible for all players to receive unbound, tradable scripts when looting enemies, regardless of access to the Gold Road Chapter or completion of any of the scribing quests—though the chance of doing so is very low.

Play lots of PVP. The rewards of the worthy drop most of the other scripts that are not for sale from the vendor. I think at least 75-80% of the scripts drop from PVP. The remaining scripts can be obtained by running guild dailies. I have all the scripts in the game for multiple characters, and all I've done to get them is play PVP and do Midge Guild Dailies to level up my mage guild skill lines.
