Is the full game on the retail version?

In other words, will there be a huge amount of data I will have to download to install the game? Or does the disc contain full installation with the exception of a small patch or two?

Seneschel✭✭No the full game isn't included with the retail version. They charge you £40-£80 for the demo. You have to upgrade to the "business class" to get the full game.
On a more serious note, I would expect you will still have to download a large portion of the game. Not all of it but still a large enough portion that it'd be a pain to do on launch day.0
