I think fair compensation for the recent down time would be a crown sale!

I wouldnt call a Crown sale compensation.

I dont feel like I need compensation but if they do compensate us somehow im hope its not by telling us to buy stuff in crownstore

Why should non paying players be compensated for something they don't pay for, but not compensate the people who fund such promotions, subscribers, in other words?

My main concern is the loss of the daily login awards. I'm looking at 2 days loss now which means I don't get something at the end of the month. What it is I can't remember.

A sale isn't compensation. And we already have regular Crown sales.

Dictionary def of compensation: Something, typically money, awarded to someone in recognition of loss, suffering, or injury.

"non paying players" that bought the game? most likely will also buy other things in the future and help keep the game alive?

Because people planned around this time and this is mostly not a free to play game. ESO+ free trial should obviously be extended.

Other compensation would be good too but extending it by a day or two would only be fair because it is an active promotion.

Hand on heart, the power outage of the datacenter where other companies have servers too is not ZoS' fault.
So the compensation will be purely about goodwill. Anyway, I wouldn't be mad for discounts on crowns before Christmas.
Also extend ESO+ free would be nice.

How about some compensation for all the trader bids lost? Guilds have already lost at least a day of sales and trading—1/7th of their bid time. That’s not just an inconvenience; it damages the trust players have in the sustainability of the game. First, listing times were cut drastically, and now the economy is overloaded with endless events, items, and materials year-round. Players are burning out.

Jewelry crafting materials were increased by ten times, and drop rates on rare, valuable items were raised to the point where they’re essentially common loot now. What’s the goal here? Because if it’s to drive away players who care about the game’s economy, it’s working. People are disengaging because the systems they care about are being devalued.

Hundreds of posts have been made asking for changes, but they’re often shut down quickly, leaving players without real answers. That’s the problem: we’re not asking for perfection, but we do want transparency and meaningful communication. Glossed-over responses or silence only make things worse.

It’s clear to everyone that something—maybe several things—needs to be fixed to rebuild player trust and improve the state of the game. Addressing this directly would go a long way toward improving morale and keeping players engaged.

Let me see what I lost...
5000 gold from the daily reward...so what...
30 to 45 Seals of Endeavor... so what...
A few hours of play... (I spent them in another game)

Getting together with friends for our weekly Thursday night meetup - Priceless... but she was spending time with her Dad so was not going to make it until late and that is even more priceless...

so as compensation I want... to thank those folks that worked all night to restore the game... and a video of the whole Zos team, on their ESO characters, doing the Kowtow emote...

is that too much to ask?

Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most...

The only "compensation" for something this out of their control is missed daily login rewards - otherwise it just looks like wanting freebies.

It sounds like, based off what I’m reading, folks are looking for:
    - Given 2 days of log in rewards
    - Extend Golden Pursuits end date by two days
    - Extend ESO Plus free trial at least 2 days
    - Any things from crown store on timers increased by 2 days

It seems things beyond the above would be like extras that folks want such as seals of endeavors, gold, or items.

Could be wrong but just trying to summarize for new folks to the thread so feel free to correct me.

Why should non paying players be compensated for something they don't pay for, but not compensate the people who fund such promotions, subscribers, in other words?

Because over 75% of the player base has quit paying subs because they keep getting lagged out.
And they refuse to continue paying for a malfunctioning game.
