You're not the first to request it and i doubt you'll be the last.

zos definitely knows we want it and if they want to and can do it, it would happen eventually.

Knowing zos they'd sell a 5k crown consumable that you can use once per character to create a non-collectible houseguest furnishing so you'd have to do it for every house. They already sell houseguests for egregious prices, I find it hard to believe that if we ever do get this that it'll be a free feature.

Here's a million and one dollar suggestion:
Sell a blank slate houseguest that you can customize in a character creation and add skins/hairstyles/etc that you've earned/bought.
They could literally sell hundreds to anyone into housing.

They get the money incentive to make said houseguest and we get to make our characters and anyone we want to populate our houses.

My characters say no. They are individuals and do not want anyone else controlling them.

I would love for my alts to become companions. That's the only way I'd ever mess with companions. As for house guests.... no thanks. I'm not interested in that at all. In fact, I don't do anything much with the ones I've got for free even.
