This is not about Companions wearing helmets, which is a decision that was made when Companions were first introduced.
This is about skill styles and I have not seen anything that makes me think this would not be acceptable.

I'm sure they'll be fine with it. After all, you can force Tanlorin and Azandar to use Mages Guild abilities. I doubt they'd care what color their spells are.

Yeah. If they don't mind learning certain skills for you, I don't see why they would care about colors. I like this idea. Although, I also think they should be able to wear hats.

Except it is. It changes their identities, which they are against. If you're not fine with helmets/hats then changing their skills which were also designed and picked for them, should not be fine either. It should actually be less fine than helmets.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Companions wearing helmets. Helmets cover their faces so we can no longer see who they are. There is a thread on Companion helms where that can be discussed.
THIS thread is specifically about Companions using our skill styles.
