Yesterday I came across a Racial Motifs book, but instead of selling it to an NPC I decided I would sell it to another player and it would go to good use. So I sent out a message in the Zone chat and a sort of mini auction started, found a buyer really quickly and met them in Ebonheart. We started the trade, but being that I was new to the interface I thought I had pressed the button to select the Racial Motifs book, but instead pressed the button to signify that I was ready to trade. When the other person sent their gold and hit that they were ready the trade ended - without them receiving the book. Fortunately I caught this, at first thinking it bugged out so I tried the mail but realized that was down at the time, then I redid the trade and sent the book with no problem after I had seen where I did wrong.
But the following safety feature may have prevented some hassle in the first place.
A dialog that notifies the user that their trade is empty, or that the other user's trade is empty, would be handy. It would help prevent both accidental trade mishaps like the one I described, or intentional trade mishaps if someone were to take advantage of another and run off with their gold.
I simp for vampire lords and Glemyos Wildhorn
