Volatile population on NA GH main server: one guild causes the entire map to flip

It should be well into prime time right now, and we only have one locked faction swarming anything that lights. Grayhost is the new Blackreach.
Wonder if the new BGs are cannibalizing Cyro players. Yesterday I ended up in BGs because the Cyro map was being rolled by my own faction (boring) even during NA prime time, which is concerning. It's not the stupid pop caps because the server wasn't even full, I saw 4/3/4 bars around 7pm EST.

Bottom line, AD had organized groups while the other factions didn't, so they auto won even though the pops were mostly even, except for the collapsing EP daytime pop, which is probably due to being punished for their teammates nightcapping, and probably the toxic faction culture of all caps zerglords barking orders and arguing with each other.

830 PM EDT it was locked AD, EP had 3 bars, and DC had 2 and then EP dropped to 2 bars shortly after that.

I haven't been on for a month or so before that so maybe it was just the launch of BGs, Still kind of sad that the population is so fragile.

The crazy low population caps are the problem
It doesn't matter what the caps are when it's 20-30 players per side. When each faction has 60-80 during prime time it's fine, this thread is about the power of a single organized group screwing the map during off hours.

Off hours being defined as when you are not in game, and that's the problem with your argument. But the world has many time zones and people from all over the globe play ESO. This is the first time I've seen you complaining about when your online and your faction has rolled the map.

The problem now is that pop caps are so low and so many people have been driven away from Cyrodiil that it's not a functional game mode as we used to know it.

Semantics are the tool of a scoundrel. I often play NA mornings before working, I'll log in at 7am or 9am EST and it'll be 1 bar across, or maybe 1/2/1 if there's the one Asia EP guild playing. The map flips from entirely gold to entirely red. Pop caps have absolutely nothing to do with this and belong in a different thread.

I haven't seen a queue to get into PC NA Greyhost during prime time (14:00-22:00 EST) in two weeks. There is essentially no time that any faction pop locks now days. Sometimes during weekend evenings factions pop lock now, but not during the week. When the pop caps were triple to quadruple what they are now all three factions pop locked daily.

So ya, this situation most certainly evolved because ZOS has lowered the pop cap so far that most people just quit the game if PvP was their thing. Add to that invincible ball groups and sets like RoA and nobody at ZOS participating in Cyrodiil for years now so there is nobody there to even identify needed changes let alone actually fix them.

11:30am EST and I think there's literally 4 ad online in Cyro GH. Not exaggerating or trolling.
