What bigger problems would come of not allowing a group queue?

Separate queues, fine, but OP said "Don't allow premades in any battleground." So anyone who wants to play with friends will quit BGs.

No thank you.

Wanna go solo? Knock yourself out. Just accept the fact that you'll likely never dominate.

No, they can still play with their friends — just with a chance to be on the opposing team from them.

You’re not making any sense.
Playing with friends means I will group with my friends and we’ll play together since that’s what friends do.
Queuing up solo and hoping you randomly match make with people you know is not playing with friends. Maybe I’m misunderstanding but I feel like this is a weird conversation lol.

I don't agree with that, though. If we split 4v4 and 8v8 into 4v4 Group, 4v4 Solo, 8v8 Group, and 8v8 Solo, then nobody would ever get a match of Battlegrounds going. This is precisely why the gamemode queues were dropped — the playerbase was fragmented and didn't have a healthy enough population for each queue to sustain reasonable queue times.Stafford197 wrote: »Erickson9610 wrote: »Stafford197 wrote: »You don’t want people to play with their friends?

Playing "with" friends can mean playing "against" friends. Several PvP games out there don't guarantee that you'll end up on the same team as your friends, and that's okay. You both end up on the same server in the end.
Maybe instead of guaranteeing that groups are placed on the same team, ESO should autobalance the teams. While a solo queue could sometimes consistently allow two friends to play in the same match, whether they're on opposing teams or not, I think a more nuanced group system could be employed to break up premades to allow for a fairer playing experience.
