Yep, I've decided on waiting too. I love exploring a new zone, and I'd like to engage with the new scribing system. I just can't justify spending that money on it, and people say there's too much grinding/farming in the scribing, which there's already enough of.

FYI make sure to check out the other rewards besides the Breka. I don't think this stuff ever returned before? But I could be wrong.

Yes, I did almost let the fomo win out, but none of the three main rewards appeal that much to me. Though I do like the idea of the drunk blob

I think there's been a golde companion jewelry item in the rewards ever since companions were introduced, and last year they put the book vs. the music box up too. I just can't think of what else would likely be in it this year (except the many set items from the zone that normally appear too).

@Ilumia - the last batch of the nested boxes had 4 attunable crafting stations, among other crafting stuff, and I think, motif pages. It's been so long I can't remember what all.

Yes that's true, I remember know that you mention them, I've still got the old ones somewhere in a chest. But I can always earn writ vouchers to get other ones instead, it's the unique rewards I'm trying to work out. Thanks for the input though
Don't know if there are any other unique stuff in it than the mount, memento and voriplasm pet, except possibly a golden companion item. I can't find anyone mentioning the contents from earlier ones when I google it.

Didn't think I'd ever see the day players advocating for a recolor over a unique model before...

Tons of creatures show up in ESO that have never been seen before. Not sure why the breka is such a big deal.

I think the introduction would have been better received if they had actually shown it in the game world before putting it into the store. I have never seen people complaining about Vvardvark pets, for example.

For now, I find that Scribing is highly overrated, to be honest. I found the unlock quest, with the 'daily endeavors', to be far more expensive than the benefit received from the skill line. The key feature of Gold Road is the West Weald storyline. Get it for that and take Scribing as a "freebie" that you may or may not find value with.

Ok that mount is hilarious but would MUCH rather they make a lot of newer-looking mounts, even if they’re a bit odd looking.

Also to clarify I think the mount is fine but it is indeed fun to make fun of because the modeling is pretty weird, and kind of an ill-fitting reward for a West Weald event.

Looks like it was designed with 1980's software. Kinda has the look like it was made from modeling clay (and so does the motif).
