[SUGGESTION] [GREYHOST] Y'all need to lock the camp score during non prime time hours!

This is ridiculous that i even have to say this but its beyond dumb now that the camp scoring is not locked during non prime time hours. We have a Non-North American guild starting to flip everything.

Lock the damn camps score when its not prime time.

I mean unfortunately it's a 24/7 live service game open to people from all over the world... Perhaps there are things they can do to adjust scoring based on the current active population, but just locking it except during a few hours a day that are convenient for one specific country (and even then, only for those who work normal hours) is a bit over the top and sounds like a great way to lose customers.

there is no universal prime time.
people live all over the world and there are only 2 megaservers for each platform, North America and Europe.

People not in those regions will also use those servers and even people in those regions do not play at the same time as you.

There is a link for those that are not aware of "prime times"

So in theory one would say that Daggerfall Covenant is the flavor for prime time hours. You could then equate nightcapping of other factions as those that are reaching the least resistance. Ergo why DC don't have much resistance during the prime time hours until those that frequent the other camps have to come over to aid.

A simple locking of score during the times of low populations would mitigate the night capping that takes place. You could even go further into this by locking the territory to "not change factions" unless these parameters of "does faction have x players online" meets that requirements.

Its really simple stuff server side you can do to do this.

There are already at least 10 threads running on this topic. Any change is too risky. Even the low pop bonus doesn't really work. If it's broken don't ask ZOS for a fix ....

It's usually the faction on the receiving end that screams the loudest. A recent forum account creation makes me think EP, with this months Greyhost campaign on PCNA.

A recent forum account? Check my profile. March 30, 2014. Not a lot of posts and yes I'm EP but I am saying just leave things alone. AD said they had a 187 player que the other day. The factions will shift around as they always have. Yes, Ad will win this campaign, but hasn't ad only won GH like 3 times in 3 years? I never remember them winning even once on True Flame. And NEVER once on Azura's Star. Which is why I left DC. Dc won every single campaign. Things will shift along and a certain faction will no longer be "faction of the month".

The OP of this thread has a new forum account.
Almost every post I can identify as PCNA is done by accounts that were winning and are now losing. Which is why I said EP. Last month it was DC crying, when they were the dominate "night capping faction" on Greyhost prior to the recent spat of EP campaign dominations.
Almost no-one is complaining when they are winning, even if its a bit unfair.

But yeah I've consistently said to not change anymore population factors. EP will lose this campaign but who really cares about the score. But yes, you don't see the usual AD complainers here.

Sorry, this is a global server. I'm sorry that doesn't meet with your approval. Maybe you should try recruiting a nightshift for your faction.

BTW I live in NA and play *way* off normal PST "prime" hours. I don't think the entire world should be subject to your (or any one groups) desire to control when people can play.

Just because it's your prime time doesn't mean the rest of the world should follow. The server isn’t only made for one time zone. Players from Australia, the Americas, and elsewhere all have different schedules, and the game doesn’t revolve around any single region’s peak hours. Locking scores based on your preferred time frame would only create a disadvantage for other players, don’t you think?

i heavily doubt thats why competitive pvpers are trying to win a score base campaign

Well the truth is it is not the people who live in the southern hemisphere zerging the map at night.

It is two American Ad streamers who are literally earning a living from it.

During the day, both get slaughtered which does not bring in cash.

One of them does a round in every single pve zone to get a full stack of people before logging in. None of these people can play and it doesn't matter.

Is it against TOS to use pvers to make money? No.

Does it suck for actual players? Yes.

But none of us are getting real life paychecks to get up in the small hours of the morning -we have jobs.

What's the answer to the streamer issue in any game? Because it's happening everywhere. Something for gaming companies to think carefully about.

I am not sure if this is a serious post. If it is then it's really entitled and ignores the needs of other players.

why don't we just make the campaign playable ONLY during 8-11pm EST? close the campaign during the rest of the day and force everyone to play in Imperial City! who cares if you're working or asleep during that time? /s
