Sun Shield? More like Sun Burn.

    ANYTHING! JUST ANYTHING USEFULL!!!

    I'm a templar main, but I have other class characters. And for the most part, when I look at class skills, every each one of them looks nice and deserves a place on my bar. In this or that way. But when I look at Templar's skill lines now, I have another feeling. It's like: Ok, I have to pick one skill from Dawn's Wrath, the least useless one, to enable minor sorcery, and sometimes an execute, If I have enough bar space, which is tough. Then from Aedric spear there are 3 usefull skills(If you can call jabs usefull) but I only need 2, because having Javelin and Charge at the same time is not effective due to CC overlap. Shards are mostly useless in PvP, Shield is a whole topic of this thread. From healing skill line there are armor buff and a burst heal, optionally ritual. Aura and clapping hands heal are very nish for some group-templar-healers. So we end up with 5-6 more or less usable class skills. Passives are just another cool story.

    Please, ZOS, make some good skills, that we would gladly place on our bars. Make some good passives, that worth a skill point.

    Allowing one of the morphs of Sun Shield to become a group shield that provides an interesting buff and debuff would give the skill quite a bit more desirability in group content and allow it to better compete with comparable Scribing abilities.

    Something like Minor Heroism would be thematic to the Templar as a class and then maybe a debuff like Minor Mangle.

    There is no reason why Sun Shield couldn’t apply an equally rare Major Buff.

    Mass Hysteria was given a stun, made AoE in a 6 meter radius without a cap on targets and then given the ability to be undodgeable, and then unblockable… and lastly an AoE Major Debuff.

    Radiant Ward was given a shield, made AoE in a 5 meter radius WITH a cap of 6 targets and then given the ability to increase based on targets hit, and then weak damage… and lastly an AoE Minor Debuff.

    Giving Sun Shield, or at least, Radiant Ward, a Major would bring it closer in line with other skills for parity.

    The shield itself is not good to begin with tbh. Tried it out on the PTS with a 40k hp templar and even then u get with "bastion" around 16k shield value. Yes it will increase with each hit but in a PvP scenario for example it won't even get so far cause the shield breaks too quickly.

    I still think that
    damage shield that explodes when it breaks and damages enemies who strike it
    would be a good new version, and lose the per target hit thing and just flatly give it more shield outright
    Radiant grant unto allies
    burning gain a fire aura while its active, and convert from explode only on destruction to explode when it expires, be it destruction, time out, or recast, increasing damage the more damage it absorbed.
