How disappointed will you be after todays stream? (Poll)

I'm not into PvP so I won't be disappointed for myself, but I'll feel for PvPers who have been waiting for improvements for a long time. I think the announcement will have something to do with battlegrounds, but I could be wrong.

I'll be at the live stream to find out about the new companions and any other stuff that will be in the update. Then I'll be over here in the forums with popcorn.

That would be .................. dire. But I'm afraid you're right. Perhaps it is foolish to expect anything else. It is clear ZOS have not had people dedicated to open world PvP for a long time. If the question comes down from on high 'give us some PvP" it probably gets handled by the same team that designs dungeons, trials and arenas and they'll stick close to what they know.

Completely agree. Would probably be best if they just left things alone. There are already enough issues PvP-related which have not been fixed after all this time.

I have no expectations at all, I'll be impressed if there's anything new added to pvp, and not just reworking existing gamemodes or slight skill change.

I know it's been said to death already but the game has had no new pvp content for 6 years, so I can't say I'm hopeful if we've been neglected for over half a decade.

ZOS already stated that the update is not Cyrodiil related. That's all I need to know to know that ZOS isn't focusing on the part of the game they should be focusing on more than any other.

I DO hope pvp'ers get something they actually want.

Not being interested in pvp myself, I expect to be disappointed and to move on to another game until next year unless there is something unexpected in the update to keep the rest of us playing.

No, but they can be built to do different things, and those of us with multiple characters can have a different companion for different characters.

I'm pretty sure the new "feature" will be disappointing, since I mostly play Cyrodiil, but I do see one possible silver lining. If the new feature turns out to become the favored form of PvP for hyper optimized groups, it might have a positive effect on the Cyrodiil experience. The power imbalance between factions with one or two of those groups and the ones without could be reduced by a lot, and I suspect the servers would be happy to run a couple of degrees cooler.

All I hope for is some mention of the current state of play for PvP. The lag is terrible and there has been nothing of value added to cyro for many many years (adding stuff thats been in PvE for years.. like armor station is not "new content").

Considering what we think they are going to release... I'm fairly certain I'll be let down.

I appreciate this kind of comment. As someone who only plays this game for PvP (cyrodiil).... I'd been a rough 7 year stretch.

i havent seen the stream (and to be honest i hate streams, i would prefer a simple article describing the items)

if the update is BG related, if it can even resolve some of the issues with it then i might bother trying to do more BGs, right now i only play BGs sometimes on certain BG weekends so i can work on achievements

I've already given up on anything good coming from this game.TBH I didn't know it was coming out now. It probably doesn't have anything good for me.

Meh. Two team 4v4 and 8v8 BGs are a step in the right direction, but the return of power ups, multiple chaos balls with WW/Vamp transformations, “lives” for Deathmatch with spectating after you run out of lives… I’m just not really interested in that stuff. I’ll try the new BGs out, for sure, but I doubt this refresh will pull me away from Cyrodiil. At least the worst BG game mode, Capture the Relic, is gone from the new maps.

Edit: MMR changes sound good, though.

This is basically how I feel. Especially the lives situation, it sounds like an extra terrible idea.
