Yeah. Seems that builders have moved onto other games from the replies in the forums.
Heartbreaking for me, but I'll respect what the majority of ESO's current player base wants. The forums have spoken.
There was always some trace of hope in the amount of other players that also wanted to build with >700 slots. Nowhere to be found now.
I also hoped that we could at least purchase upgrades to home slots. The option to pay to expand any home to 700 slots. Antiquarian, Forgemaster Falls, etc. Now Seabloom Villa was added to that list of "would build here, if we at least had 700 slots"
With that hope gone, it's time for me to face reality and play Enshrouded.
I still can't figure out why Zenimax just doesn't design all houses to have a cell fit for 700 slots no matter the actual size of the building(s)/courtyard type areas of the house. Seems it would be a simple solution to the constant complaints about the furnishing limits and house sizes.

I mean, would they? I feel like people who willingly pay for a big home aren't necessarily doing so because of the slots, but because they like the designs/layouts (or even unique features like the house with the Mara shrine) of them.... and these players who buy these huge homes still very much are some of the ones that complain about the furnishing limits, that houses are too big or too small, etc.DenverRalphy wrote: »the players who paid boatloads more (especially cash money for crowns) for their 700 slot notable homes would spontaneously combust in anger after their purchases were suddenly serverely devalued.
My favorite thing is when they finally release a new gold home, it screams "notable home" in size and appearance, and yet they still only make it a classic one *cough cough* Merryvine Estate *cough cough*. Like gee~ I wonder why they do that (the answer, most likely very obviously, is always misplaced greed).Re the number of slots, I can see how with eg tavern rooms the engine might go crazy or something, but I plain don't understand why many medium homes don't have 700.
I'm someone who only buys 700 slot homes (don't like being limited on not only traditional, but the other types of furnishings). BUT I barely ever actually buy the 700 slot crown store homes because I usually don't like them (too big, overcomplicated designs that just look messy).... so realistically, ESO would get more money out of me (not only from me buying crown exclusive houses, but also crown only furnishings and keeping my sub active for longer/more consistently since I'll have more to do) by making every home 700 slots.I don't think anyone at all buys a notable *because* it has 700 slots. They want the home. I don't think anyone would be scandalised by lower tier houses matching the slot limit. But I can see why people won't buy a medium because they *don't* have 700 slots.

Most players I know are in this boat with me.

I don't have ESO plus at the moment but I too fully decorated mine with just 181 item slots and it looks really cozy. I'm very happy with it.

Like you said... you decorated.
Decorating and building from scratch are different housing experiences.
