heals you AND 2 nearby allies... As far as i know the heal might actualy even stack o.o but im still trying to prove it. Yesterday i Solo healed the mad architect dungeon and tryed this theory out by mana dumping soul siphon after two rapid regeneration and my party didnt look like it was even taking damage due to that crazy regeneration... Thing is im still trying to figure out if its just the base regen from having both buff that is uber or if its realy the multi siphon that heals like this.

The biggest fault I see with this build (and I encounter it on my bow wielding Templar healer) is that when you deal damage as well as heal, you draw insane amounts of aggro from mobs/bosses. Which means you need a really good tank in your group. Even with all these heals and regens you will die if a boss decides to focus on you for too long.

If he die like that, its fault of the tank, not his fault, he is doing his job... So the tank suppose to do his too...

Hes funny with the focused boss because I indeed get focused from time to time and when that happens I either roll away block with my staff while healing or shield myself up while laughing because I aint gunna die to that so early oh no i aint. Still im rarely the boss target when the tank does his job rights. I don't recall dying to a boss focus while healing since blessed crucible and that was because we didn't had a tank at all and most of the enemies where using fire!... we still did the dungeon however and got it done regardless of circumstances after a few wipes with me trying to explain the party they had to dodge lava mama dumb aoe if they wanted to stay alive because no amount of healing would save them from such nuking if they got hit 3 time within 2 second. Id also like to mention I sometime had to tank the boss hits quite often (wich I didn't had so much trouble doing).

When the angry boss starts to charge at you just block the hits activate your healing ward, dodge away and keep kiting till he changes his mind for another target

Been doing some work around the few last days it seems so far that healing spring and refreshing path heals for the same amount over different period of time. While of course both can stack togueter refreshing path deals damage. Id recommend path for pve solo and spring for dungeon healing depending on your preference either way both spells heals.

Health Funnel , Rapid Regeneration, and Sap essence is what I use also and can heal veteran dungeons. I use Invigorating drain and poison mist as my other 2 abilities just to have fun. I cant wait tell Poison mist is unbugged. Mine is supposed to do around 800 damage over 4 seconds at the moment but it is bugged so only doing like 300. With all light armor and the right passives you can spam poison mist like 25 times in a row in combat haha. Pretty much GOD mode when it is unbugged. I still kill mobs with it in veterans zones but just takes forever.

I had heard that the healing from Refreshing path was so low that it was not worth the skill point, especially solo when you could go with the other part of the morph, kill faster, and not need it anyway. Are you finding that's not the case?

Refreshing path and healing spring heals for the same total amount but path takes longuer to reach full healing total then spring does.

In a dungeon environment where heals must be quickly executed Healing spring does a better job then path

Okay, but have you experimented with Twisting Path while solo? If refreshing path isn't the best choice in groups, it would seem to me that what I've heard is correct and it's not worth putting a point into. I'm liking the extra range and damage while of Twisting- while AoE is a factor, but I'm all about more healing. Kind of on the fence about this one...

...Many people theorised that the only class fit for Healing spec is templar...

Many people are really, really stupid then.

Anyways, it's a decent build overall. Pretty much any nightblade healer is going to want funnel health regardless because it's too good not to have.

Well at this point sleepwalker when soloing you still might want to run Refreshing path as a minor dot/healing versus healing spring wich will have no real use in solo playing. The heck is when I did the comparison my healing spring was rank 5 while my refreshing path was rank 1 I cant realy have an idea of refreshing path final healing amount all I know is that at rank1 versus rank 5 it heals the same amount of what healing springs heals over its 3 second duration over a 10 second duration. I will need to have both skill at maximum rank before placing a final judgement. If the healing from refreshing path scales way higher we might have a way better healing spell then spring on equal rank.

By my diagnosis I come to about this conclusion

If RP is = to HS
In a pvp alliance war environment HS will be better due to the magicka recovery in dungeons or in pve Path will deal damage while healing for a bigger total amount

If RP is slightly weaker then HS (about 3/4 of the healing per second)
In a pvp alliance war environment HS will be better due to the magicka recovery in dungeons or in pve Path will deal damage while healing for a bigger total amount also because mana wise path cost less to get a better result

If RP is half the power of HS (1/2 of the healing)
Refreshing path has the advantage of behing a long lasting party hot wich can be dropped down and left to be for a while Healing spring however last for only 3 second before it heals its full amount, as crazy as it sounds its more economic to use a long lasting healing spell then a full health filler in a slowly damaged party, RP isn't a burst heal its a progressive healing ability while HS has such a short duration it might as well be called a partywide healing burst. In a controlled environment where mobs don't deal that much damage to the team as to make a burst necessary RP will still have the advantage over HS (why heal the party for 30% of their hp over 3 second when they are already at 90 and barely loose 2 to 3%? You should rather use the 10 second spell wich heals for the same amount over a longuer duration so to heal the damage as it is inflicted rather then mend mortal wounds every 8 second)

Kyubi i need your help. Im not sure what im doing wrong but using this build since lvl 20 with vamp as well. And im so squishy. Ive read your spell rotation and pros and cons over and over to find out what im doing wrong. If i get more than 1 mob on me im really squishy. I did better as a aoe/self heal tank i could take on 5+ mobs at a time. I really want this to work for me as id like to be almost unkillable and solo bosses like ive seen in videos. But I die fast and kill slow. Im level 36 now and im thinking of going back to aoe tank. Any input?

Trajik88 do you have the ward yet? Healing ward is the main self defence tool of the build as it both Heals and Shield damage taken, ive soloed most of what ive fought because of it altrought not everything. Im talking about the late restoration spell that give a shield... this thing once morphed cause every amount of shield not spent to heal you. Regardless you need to use heavy attack from time to time to restore your magicka or you will run out of it early. In the worse case scenario replace one of your spell with the mana/stamina per attack ability but I don't think you would need it its just about getting the healing ward morph do you have it yet?

Curently you likely still missing the aoe drain of the end siphoning tree (wich is bugged at the moment and doesn't heal the full amount) and the morph to your ward wich is crucial (50% of the self healing done on yourself is done with the ward! Its your ultimate defence as I like to call it and it is to be used when vampirism invigorating drain cannot). This is without mentioning 50% of the damage done by this build is done via vampirism ability such as invig drain and of course devouring swarm for wich the ulti gain from siphoning is key, do you have vampirism yet?

I generaly take on 5 mob+ all at once and unless they spamming me with fire spells and knockdown like those dremoras in coldharbor I generaly just laugh at it.

At your current level If you don't have healing ward yet my subjection is to simply put drain them one by one while using attack and funnel health between then nuke the hell out with the ultimate. This build would be perfect post 40 if the last siphoning ability even restored the true amount of health because right now it gives the amount +20% not the amount +20% for each target wich is pretty much dumb.

NOTE: this build regardless of damage done is still a healer its nothing to compete with a full damage specialist like warlock build etc. It just happen to be infinitively easyer to run then a full healing Templar wich by default cannot even be used for solo questing without specialising in a damaging line and redoing their whole skill bar. Yes you nearly are unkillable due to the constant healing but the damage can be somewhat lackluster at time in comparison to full dpsing build.

Allow me to share here, since we're now talking about exactly the character I'm building myself. Here's my build as of yesterday (after watching a very informative NB vampire/healer video on Tamriel Foundry):

    Grayfield_Nightblade_Vampire

I too found elites and bosses almost un-killable in the past. With this setup, elites are not a problem at all, and I can down a boss if they:

    1. Are classified as a "monster" (i.e. Ambush will stun them for 1.5 sec.), and/or
    2. Are not immune to knockdown and stun. (i.e. I swap out a restoration staff for the destruction staff in my back pocket and put Destructive Clench on my bar - easy mode)

Still working on the experience to morph Drain Essence and Force Siphon, the latter being crucial for killing the hard-hitting bosses I think. Granted, even when this is complete, I'll be good with killing some bosses, but I won't be owning them all. I'm fine with that. It seems... proper.

Now, for the multiple mob packs (3+), I find that it's important that Funnel Health immediately follows Ambush every time (preferably as an opener), as the extra damage will mean more healing for you. Combat Prayer will mean soft capped armor and spell resist (I'm guessing by your level that you're not quite there unbuffed, but correct me if I'm wrong there) while the first mob dies, as well as a weapon damage buff which applies directly to your staff's heals. Also, the healer/fire-user dies first for obvious reasons, and if it's taking a little longer than expected, Drain Essence will keep you going. With that, I'm golden every time. If I feeling like you're in a more AoE mood, Sap Essence is ready, I swap Ambush for Refreshing Path (thanks for the input, Kyubi) and get Bat Swarm going. All of those skills will also heal you (once Bat Swarm is morphed.)

Keep in mind three things in the rest of your travels as a Vampire NB healer:

    1. Kyubi and his build are at veteran content. Don't get too discouraged because the 20's didn't see you so "invulnerable". Give it time and invest some points, and you'll get there. My mid-thirties were a breeze, but I was going with a more high single-target build, so mobs of two to three were swatted down to one to two within seconds. Really helped. Now after a respec in my late 40's, the more AoE-focused build is really shining I think.

    2. You are not a DPS beast. Killing with a build like this is a subtle endeavor. It takes a player that can relax and peck away at their enemies souls while scoffing at their attempts to stop him/her from doing so, regardless of how many there are. Think of us as the "calm sadists" of the ESO world. :)

    3. Many of our powers are bugged at the moment, as mentioned before. If you can get this build to work now, imagine the power that awaits... >:)

Vampirism is perfectly worthwhile in this build ive ran the whole of vet and reg as a vamp stage 4 with no passive bonus and I still manage just as well as any other vet sorcerer. Truth is if I had the passives working I would be even stronguer... when they fix sap essence health gain to the correct amount ill definitively do an even better carnage in 1 v 6 public dungeon style. I im starting to think funnel health do stack but it takes a lot of them to actualy make a serious regeneration boon. In a dungeon situation its better to have both hot on at all time and spam staff heavy attack for mana then spam funnel health unless people take next to no damage that is.

Well I use a small adaptation of my healing build for pve... when im fighting ill either run shadowstunlock or restostaff offense depending on wich kind of foe I got... Resto defence is likely the best possible build against stun immune foe.

Im using this build in pve as well as I said this build isn't only able to heal but also deal damage.

Being good has nothing to do with it . no class has any aggro management. ZOS's wisdom is slightly flawed here one single target taunt and the Best way to handle trash is the Volcanic rune Juggle. holding bosses is never a problem with inner fire. its trash that routinely wipes and frustrates the group that lacks communication.

    Kyubi,

I almost leaped when I first saw your build. I absolutely loved the concept of the Blood Mage from Vanguard, and I have been sad that most games do not give it its due. It is an awesome class. My main is a templar tank, but I rolled an alt that I have been loving, and I am using your Blood Mage concept. Mobs that were hard to kill on my Templar are pushovers to this guy. I did some tinkering around with it, and I wonder if it is possible to make a Necro-ish build out of it.

    Necro Build

While it does use a lot of the same concepts that you used in the Blood Mage build, it leans a little more towards damage, and an "unholy" form of healing on one staff, and some resto staff heals on the other for those larger moments. Plus, it incorporates the shades from the Assassination skill line.

I have been playing mine as a dps hybrid. I just haven't worked up the nerve to go main healer with it in a group dungeon yet. Although, I have main healed several world bosses, exploration dungeons, and dark anchor events with it.

    What do you think?

I main healed dungeon before  it always depends on the party comp regardless of class. Get bad players and they wont live trought get a balanced organised team and you will rock it out. This build isn't as forgiving to bad players as Templar is, if they don't cc trash in vet they will get eaten no mather how well you heal them.

Truth be told this build hold its ground well against bosses but trash can cause problem if poorly managed fungal grotto was hardcore on the first 5 pull and the boss were a joke.
