Yes, they absolutely need to do this. The change to make all instant single target melee abilities 7 meters was one of the best changes they've made in a very long time. It drastically improved the functionality of melee combat and was noticed by pretty much everyone I know.

PBAoE skills with a sub 7 meter radius still suffer the exact same problem the single target skills did prior to their adjustment. The location desync in eso is just too severe now for such short range abilities to work reliably.
