Not getting double tel var drops during the event.

@ZOS_Kevin, the tel var sacks from the Imperial City dailies are only giving out the standard 200 tel var, instead of the 400 they normally give during Whitestrake's Mayhem. Also, the Patrolling Horrors seem to be giving standard drops as well.

Is this a bug? The event announcement page says there would be a 100% increase to tel var gained.

does the tel var bonus apply to the sacks? or only the amount dropped from enemies? i dont remember if it applied to everything or only the amount gained from killing the NPCs

It has previously applied to all sources of tel var (except players): daily sacks, zone quest sacks, trash mobs, bosses, treasure chests, scamps, etcetera.

It definitely has applied to the reward sacks from turning in the district dailies during past events. If it isn't working (I haven't been on yet today), I'd guess that it will probably get fixed soon.

200 Tel Var instead of 400 - I leave my regular reward boxes closed for now.
I hope they will fix it soon.

They actually did drop double sacks in the past, but recently they just doubled the amount in a single sack.

So no acknowledgement from ZOS that they are even aware of this problem? I stopped playing my characters in Imperial City until this situation is fixed. And I'd rather not have to be forced to deal with the crashes and massive queues in Cyrodiil during the event, as IC is my preferred spot for MYM.

Opened a lot of boxes today. The total number of tel var stones was not impressive. It was downright disappointing.

I have already deleted a char I made to do this event. And am considering deleting two others.

It is just not worth the hassle of dealing with griefers and the terrible state of the servers.

I have no idea what Tel Var can be used for.

I rarely go into IC for anything except failed attempts to farm Hakeijo.

Thanks to eight years of incessant ganking by other players.

So, I am unmoved by this current problem.

I suggest that you lodge a support ticket and wait patiently for a response.

It's possible that they feel that since you already got double tel-var by killing whatever to get the boxes in the first place, that also doubling the containers was double dippng.

I think that's ridiculous because there's no guarantee someone kills npcs to get the container, but that's the only thing I can think of why it would be "double dipping" and suddenly changed.

You can complete some of the IC dailies without killing a single thing, nor earning any tel var other than what you get for turning in the quest. So I don't see how that could be considered double dipping. Surely Gina was referring to some other, actual bug.

The daily quests in Cyrodiil give double AP for killing the players to finish the quest, double AP for turning in the quest, plus a Boon Box that may contain tel var. But the daily quests in Imperial City DO NOT give double tel var this year. They give a Siegemaster's Coffer, which contains a Light Tel Var Sack that has the same amount (200) of tel var as it does year round. Plus a Boon Box, just like the double AP quests give. I see possible double dipping for AP in Cyro, but not double dipping for tel var anywhere.

The event announcement states "Throughout the event, you will benefit from a 100% bonus to Alliance Point, XP, and Tel Var Stone gain." So you're getting double AP from killing players, plus double AP for turning in quests for killing players, plus tel var from the boxes in Cyrodiil. Yet in IC you get single tel var from killing players, and single tel var from turning in quests.

Something's not adding up. And you can't tell me that the double tel var we've been getting from the IC dailies for the past 10 years' worth of MYM/WM events is a bug that only got fixed this year. @ZOS_Kevin, can you address this for us? I know you guys have seen this thread. Some clarity would be nice. I normally run all six dailies on 19 characters, so it's a significant loss if this is a bug that's going to remain unfixed.

Throughout the event, you will benefit from a 100% bonus to Alliance Point, XP, and Tel Var Stone gain

If this wasn't including the Tel Var from Siegemaster coffers> Tel Var satchels, then they should have made it more clear as it seems like you should get a bonus to all sources of Tel Var.

Do you mean the Cyrodiil town quests? Yes, AP from turning those in is doubled. The amount varies though, depending on what AP bonuses your faction currently holds. For example, if your faction controls Brindle, Drakelowe, and Dragonclaw, you get an additional 24% bonus to AP, 8% per edge keep. Or killing a boss in a Cyrodiil delve gives you a 20% bonus to AP gained for one hour. If your faction has the low population bonus, your doubled AP is doubled again, for a 400% total bonus, aside from any other modifiers. And so forth.

Is this in PvP zones only? I can't remember Mayhem ever having 2XP... a bit confoose

It's specifically for XP gained from killing other players. Nothing else. I often forget about it entirely!
