When was the last time a dev commented on the inadequacies of a class?? Communication from Zos regarding classes has always been poor. And if they do plan to make changes, it takes years.
Once patch notes are out and specifically about class changes, there are very few changes that are ever done based on player feedback on the pts.

Necromancer changes were.. interesting, but thank you ZoS for doing something about Necromancer. But Templar desperately needs some love.
For a long time now Templar users have been pleading for a change to jabs (clunky and there are better alternatives), Purifying light (far too little damage) and burning light (doesnt so much anymore).
Templar doesn't have a burst skill anymore, their core ability and ‘signature’ skill jabs hits like a wet pool noodle and the pressure just isnt there anymore.
Now that these patch notes are out it’s clear nothing will be done about templar for another 4 - 6 months (which is painful to even type). Similarly to how you addressed Necro, can you at least let us know if you actually think they’re in a good spot or if you plan to make changes? They’re by far the weakest class on the dd side of things. A Dev covering this issue would be great and i think a lot of us templars would be relieved to hear you hear us.
Thank you

Thank you
Also I would love to see them remove major sorcery and major brutality off of the jabs all together.
Move it to a skill that both the magic based and stamina based characters use. I play a stamplar and a magplar. It sucks not having available class skills to provide major sorcery with my magplar. I know, I know I could use other skills and scribing skills but that's not how I want to play. I want to be wrapped up in the Templar class. I can get that with other classes.
And I'm definitely not going to go with the stam version of jabs on my magplar. And I'm definitely not going to use jabs on my stamplar because all morphs of the jabs are trash.
I played two different types of Templars and not one of them use the ability that the class is known for. And that is a class breaking immersion that keeps me playing other classes and not wanting to pick up my Templars anymore. Add major sorcery and brutality to the base major resolve buff so it transforms to the morphed abilities as well.

Necro criticism lead to results. It can for Templar too. Not exactly the same situation as Templar is base game but at the end of the day it's the bottom line. The Classes are part of the face of the product being sold. The game will sell less and people will buy less if these are deemed inadequate by the player base and that can negatively affect opinions of prospective customers. The Necro being openly regarded as a joke was an untenable situation. I would argue the same for the Templar. It's unfortunate that it has to get to this point before action is taken.
