IMHO
It's one of the best questlines in the game in my view, but beyond harvesting ink from time to time I haven't pursued scribing beyond the initial questline.
Reading this thread makes me question if I am just too OP with luck or not. I get ink all the time, very easy actually, since it drops from literally everything pretty much.

The bulk of the ink I have comes from daily rewards, although, that may be due to it being available only in West Weald and I never go there.

As per my prior post, this thread's months old and the first 3-4 pages are totally out of date. ZoS listened to feedback tweaked ink drops and where it came from. We now have vastly improved ink drops and sources.

The question still stands though....was it worth it?

Ink's available everywhere, not just West Weald?

No idea. I only get it from daily rewards, at this point. If it is available from resources outside of West Weald, I don't recall ever seeing any. That seems on par for ZOS drops, though, so I have no reason to think they are outside of the Gold Road content.
Anyone else notice that there aren't any tutorials published on how to make scribing skills that are competitive or stronger than plain old class and weapon skills yet?
This is what happens when the end game community leaves the game.

My answers changed drastically, no it wasn't worth it when it was a system I couldn't engage with. Now, yes, I run a one bar soul themed necro with 4 scrubbed skills.
When so many posts complained about ink availability, the first 3-4 pages of this thread are out of date.
