Warden Piercing Cold Change Recommendation
TLDR: I should be able to control my play style. I cannot do that with this change without making myself a glass cannon or without restrictions on what counts into max health.
If I walk into Cyro with 29k health to take advantage of the damage buff to piercing cold what happens:
If we get Emp?
If I don't heal myself because I don't want minor toughness but there's a green bar heal bot next to me dropping seeds? I'd die anyway but the point is that I can't control healing from other wardens with the Maturation passive.
If I group up and someone is running Ebon (not really likely but still possible)?
I am sure there are other scenarios but just with the above I would be required to walk into Cyro with 27k health to remove the potential for my damage to be nerfed because of above mentioned green bar. Then I would have to drop that down even further to prevent nerfing myself by taking another keep as emp alliance. I think it's 900 health per plus any applicable passives for armor/undaunted/etc. If we had two keeps I'd be rockin' 25k health just to ensure my damage didn't get nerfed. If we had all six I'm not even sure I could get my health that low without removing undaunted and heavy armor passives and using magicka/stam food/drink only.
What if I get bored of Cyro and want to run a BG. My 22- 25k health will drop even further without any champion points.
However, it's not the number. It could be 35k and the problem is still there because I might walk in with 34k health and the above questions still stand.
My recommendation is that this 30k cap (or whatever the number ends up being... (I do think 30k was good 2 years ago but not in this meta and 32 - 33 would be better) should only include things I can control and should not include bonuses from Cyro or Maturation passive (or any other form of minor toughness because I can't control what healing another green bar does), or ebon or anything else out of my hands.
This will allow me to ensure I can follow the rules of the passive and still play the way I want to play.
