I would really like to be able to craft all those new Ayleid furnishings: benches, dressers, urns etc. They are all really pretty and would mix really well with Summerset stuff. In general I feel like there are too many cool items that are not available to players, and this is sad.
The new Altmer house is super pretty but the amount of slots would once again make it really really hard to meaningfully furnish both the house and the garden without blocking off some things. Please, please, please increase the slot limits. :s Even if it would cost crowns, I would buy it in a hearbeat for multiple houses.
And it would also be really nice to see music instruments and weapons/armor as furnishings. It doesn't make sense that we still can't have them.

I liked some of the new structurals, but a lot of them had blurry textures. Also some of them are too similar to the Leyawiin style. Still I liked that there are quarter landing staircases with each side.

I did feel the house of the five companions should be 700 slots, considering its size. 600 is probably enough. I did notice it doesn't have a preview furnished option, so I assume it will be an event house of some sort.
I thought I liked the giant balcony at the top of the dome, but the only way to get to it is to build up to it and there is no flat around to walk around the balcony. The very top of the dome is flat however, if you can reach it.

I also liked the high elf house, but I did find the location a bit far away and right next to a world boss. I liked the outside, but the interior felt confusing, like why is there a ladder to go up and down stairs, instead of a normal staircase?

A house on top of a mountain is the perfect location for me to build a castle.

Please consider allowing us to purchase the extra item limit slots so we can have 700 furnishings.

Please give us the option to remove the existing building/structures.

Options would make people happy who want medium homes and those of us who love to build from scratch with 700 slots. Everyone would get what they want out of a home ^^

What are your general thoughts on new houses (Seabloom Villa and Haven of the Five Companions)?
    i love both homes.
the Flower toggle in Seabloom Villa is especially awesome.
thanks for adding new beech trees with the Companions house.

What do you think of the new furnishings coming in Update 43?
    i also love those.
happy that the Keg and the Glassblower's Furnace that i hoped for are master writ furnishings.

Though i hope update 44 or 45 has furniture versions of the many new Ayleid things i have seen all over West Weald, especially in the Silorn public dungeon.

Do you have any other general feedback?
i hope we'll get more medium sized classic homes in future updates too!

I love all the new structure furnishings. The stairs options! I won't have to cobble my own awkward landings anymore! And the half walls are something much needed for a long time, I wish we had half walls in many more styles because sometimes only a narrow wall is needed but a post is too thin. The tall wood pillars are also great, been wanting something like that for a long time. And finally simple wooden double doors!

My only nitpicks are we didn't get anything roofing-wise, and the windows are still nice but I wish we had see-through variants. I prefer to be able to see outside.

I disagree with other sentiments that think it's too close to Leyawiin. The walls are much bigger and look noticeably different. Our wood and wainscot selection was lacking so more options are welcome.

I've been trying to design a home for years with a specific look in mind and with these new pieces, I might finally be able to pull it off.

By the divines! Good job this year.
Few things missing we could really do with.
    - external stone staircase.
    - Roof (was really hoping for a black one that matched the new windmill). (Just re-skin the solitude shed if don’t have an asset). The new gable is terrific and so many in the housing community will love it, but we don’t really have anything for it to go with.
    - stone turret with black roof like windmill.
    - a gate.
    - a stone/tile platform (big shame, the brown internal tiles looked great this year).
    - A weather device (like chronometer). Needing some fog and thunderstorms in my houses

If only one, the roof please! Whack it in crown store if no chance of plan.

    Haven of the Five:
Too big. I really need a mount to get around the yard.
Unconvinced by Abnur Tharn's choice of Khajiit décor.
The White Gold tower is not visible from the viewing platforms that overlook Cyrodiil. It should be.
The exit from this grand residence leads directly out onto a muddy river bank populated by goblins. Not very imperious.
The free Imperial flags will look nice in my other Imperial home.

    Seabloom Villa:
I like this, especially with the flowers toggled on. A nice place to plant a scenic garden. A quiet haven for one of my Altmer.
A pity about the step ladder.
We'll see how much it's going to cost.

General Feedback for the Housing stuff on U43:

I'm not a housing enthusiast. I'm just a person who has seen the major requests (furnishing bag, increased housing limits) and ZOS's reasons why neither can happen (too-quickly-expanding database and older hardware limitations respectively). I realize that neither was possible, and I do think that people were expecting things that they were explicitly told were impossible.

However, I do think there is one thing that could easily be done to help out the housing community with these limitations, particularly with concerns they have about hoarding loads of things and making space issues a thing - make furnishing materials much more available.

A lot of people will hoard furnishings because they're 1) crown store only and not permanently available, 2) lux vendor only and not permanently available, 3) rare and not craftable, or 4) very expensive to craft. Making furnishing materials cheap could fix it so people don't hoard items for reason 4 (and crafting patterns could be added to solve the problem with reason 3 as well). If people didn't have to spend millions to make one cabinet, then they'd be less likely to hoard the cabinet on the off-chance they might need it.

The sources I'd add would be:
    • Make furnishing materials available for direct purchase from the respective vendors
    • Allow furnishing materials to drop from surveys
    • Increase the furnishing material drop rates

But regarding the increased furnishing limits... it may be time to get the team to start considering that. ESO has recently increased the minimum specs, and many of the older consoles and older computers are struggling as it is. If support was officially ended for those, then the limits could be increased as well.

"Spooky Fog, Glowing" should be listed as a Special Furnishing, like its brethren "Celestial Vortex" and "Mists of the Hag Fen". It makes more sense that way, given that it's an ephemeral furnishing.

I don’t think there are many see-through windows on any buildings in ESO (with the exception of those that are simple openings in the wall, like in the Exorcised Coven Cottage — and the High Isle window which was brought to my attention).

I don’t think see-through windows are as versatile as they can only be placed in walls with the right size opening, or they would have to be built around. In that way, the “light furnishing” type windows offer more flexibility. I do wish that the windows cast light directionally according to time of day, like the built in windows.

Edited: Thank you for the correction, @Inari Telvanni :)

There's a High Isle window that is indeed see-through.

I love the alchemy master writ furnishing, the Apocrypha jewelry station (could we have every crafting station in Apocrypha or other Daedric style?), the scribing altar (hurray for many ways to earn or purchase!), and many of the structural furnishings, including the lovely double doors!

But the new structural pieces are all Colovian? The new Ayleid archway from the luxury vendor was AWESOME but we need additional walls, ceilings, etc. and as others have mentioned, there are a lot of nice new Ayleid furnishings in the delves — jewelry boxes, urns, benches, wardrobes— that would be lovely to have! With limited Aylied and Altmer structural furnishings, it is difficult to build the grand Aldmeri structures I would wish!

@Araneae6537 I definitely still like the "lighting" version of windows, which I like using when I reskin an interior (so no way to see outside). But I am a fan of options. I also have homes where I make custom builds outside and love to be able to see custom gardens I've made from inside. The High Isle window is my current go-to, which fits perfectly in doorways since it's door-sized, but I do crave variety since the turquoise blue can look a bit samey.

The current house I'm trying to build in Earthtear Cavern has my favorite view in the game, but I have standard bedrooms which I'd like to be able to look at the cavern from the inside since it's so beautiful. My current options are HI windows, some kind of fence cobbling, or placing no window at all, since the Dwarfglass is much too big, but a long time ago my friend looked at my "open" (nonexistent) windows and asked if glass existed, so it makes me sad.

Anyways since we didn't get anything new, I will probably test those Colovian lattice fences. They don't have glass but at least I could mix things up a bit, instead of using the same window over and over.

As for Ayleid, it's possible we might get them in Update 44 along with Wood Elf structures. The Ayleid assets are a bit too new, so it's hard not to think they'll become furnishings. Especially those new wardrobes.

@TeruKisuke thank you for the information! :)
Those sound like lovely builds! I feel like most of the walls I use are solid, with no cutout for windows, but perhaps I overlooked some options in High Isle, and certainly one could build around them if needed. You’re right, options are best — it’s a shame that at least one of the new windows isn’t see-through. Really, it would be ideal to have several windows — both light and see-through — with simple unpainted but well finished wood frames, which might fit better with a variety of styles.

    About the Seabloom Villa:

Exterior is 10/10, interior maybe a 6/10. Probably it's too late to change, and you won't even consider this feedback, but sincerely, why did you made two separate rooms for a medium house?

This house has two major issues:

    1) inside it is too dark, compared to the Alinor Townhouse, and overall the inside is sad and bland, opposed to the breathtaking exterior, which should lead to a very cozy interior.
    2) there are two separate rooms, instead of having a 2nd floor connected by a staircase such in the Alinor Townhouse, or other rustic Alinor houses we see in Summerset.

Overall, the house looks great from the outside, probably one of the best designs, only to disappoint on the interior.

    Regarding the new furnishings:

It's great to see more structural pieces, and triangular ones. My problem with the Colovian style is that it's too dark and looks somehow dirty. But I guess it's fine. I am glad that more windows are added. We need more such sources of light in our houses.

However, I was expecting the rest of the Colovian furnishings, such as desks, maybe the weapon racks? (after 7 years of requests), and of course, the few Ayleid furnishings we saw, like the wardrobe.

Adding the forge is a great idea... there are some very good master furnishing additions.

My greatest wish regarding housing is to have a way to increase slots (even paid upgrade) for the smaller houses. While I can accept a 700 item cap, it's hard to accept that I can't have more NPCs or pets in house, or I can't buy 50 more slots for the Antiquarian's villa.

more non structural furnishings from West Weald could be in update 44, but q3 updates like update 43 tend to only be structural master writ furnishings.

While I am happy that we are getting the Scribing table, I am a little disappointed that it is only the small square center section and does not include the curved side pieces with/without the fountains. I realize that this is mostly to be able to fit in smaller spaces, but it really just makes the table look underwhelming. Perhaps a full "Grand" version could be released later?

What are your general thoughts on new houses (Seabloom Villa and Haven of the Five Companions)?

Well Seabloom Villa sadly is located in a rather outdated looking base game zone. That reduces the outdoor area a lot. Also it is sad that all we got inside was a ladder instead of s proper stair. two things that are downgrading an otherwise welcome addition. I like the building on the exterior. And the feature to switch between a blank wall and the overgrown flower version is a welcome addition.

The haven of the five companions is a nice idea but I do not like the old imperial models used. Also the layout with the 5 rooms around the main hall is missing some kind of kitchen area. Some kind of bath/hot spring might have also been cool. Sadly the table is not yet completely functional, but I am interested to see what it has to offer. But I'd also like a version that is more suited for my own use.

What do you think of the new furnishings coming in Update 43?
Well I am still waiting for more Aylied furnishings. Despite me not being 100% happy with all additions that were made to the Aylied style with the gold road chapter, I'd still love to have those furnishings. I'd also love to have the traditional Aylied structures as structural furnishings.

Do you have any other general feedback?
Well in addition to the furnishing I'd also love to get a new Aylied home! one with a lot of slots and a layout that can suite my needs. Best use something that allows for a lot of variance in use and maybe offer some sort of way that we can choose the layout our self's.

I was also hoping for a Skingrad town house.

I'd also like to mention that there are a lot of features the housing community wants so feel free to have a look at this poll.

I would really like to be able to craft all those new Ayleid furnishings: benches, dressers, urns etc. They are all really pretty and would mix really well with Summerset stuff. In general I feel like there are too many cool items that are not available to players, and this is sad.
    .

I think it’s pretty obvious Ayleid lovers that update 44 will be Ayleid. So let’s not trash this “structural plan update” thread with “I want a wardrobe”.

    • What are your general thoughts on new houses (Seabloom Villa and Haven of the Five Companions)?
    • What do you think of the new furnishings coming in Update 43?
    • Do you have any other general feedback?

    Seabloom Villa:
I wish there was more flat outside space so that I could place a Alinor Greenhouse and Stable more comfortably. Maybe even making some of the large boulders at some of the edges removable would satisfy that. Being able to fit the Stable near the entry gate would be excellent, and the Greenhouse near the house on the upper level would also be my preference.

I wish the fireplaces were not permanent structures so I could move, remove, or replace them with fancier marble ones if I so desire. I do appreciate that the designers were trying to match up to the exterior chimneys.

I wish there was an actual staircase to the second floor..

    Haven of the Five Companions:
It would be cool if there was a staircase up to the roof and that area was a round balcony around the dome. Higher quality textures, especially for the floors would also be nice.

    General Feedback:
Furniture crafting materials are too rare, and they should also drop from surveys. I am already swimming in the materials most surveys drop, so it feels like a waste of time to do surveys when they don't drop the materials I need.

Limits on certain housing items aren't well displayed or explained in the game, and are frankly too low considering all the chests, houseguests, crafting facilities, assistants, etc you want to sell us. It makes it impossible to use a smaller house as a workshop.

Not all Inn Rooms are created equal, but their furniture limit is. You keep making these Inn Rooms bigger but don't adjust the limit for the increased size. Thirty is fine for Mara's Kiss or The Rosy Lion but falls short for Saint Delyn or Journey's End.

Furniture Craft Bag and/or Deconstruction…. when will we see this?

An astronomical number of furniture pieces have been added over the years. ESO has an amazing Housing system and yet this really puts a damper on things. I wish U43 would alleviate this.
