other parts of EHT like aligning items, linking toggleable things to switches, and building lines/arcs/etc.
We want to not feel frustrated with building in housing FIRST before we tackle showing off our homes.
I'll start with the positive: Having a way to publicly list a home in a catalogue is a great idea, and I've used add-ons for that! The tagging system is essential to be able to see different styles. I like seeing what other people come up with.
HOWEVER, I have a huge issue with the ability to 'upvote' homes, especially considering you can see who visits your house. If I visit a house, and don't upvote it, now that player knows and could troll/false report/block me just for that. Or worse, if it's someone with a social media following, they can get their followers to go after people (even if it's unintentional on their part, fans can be crazy).
For actual contests, if you had the ability for a guild to let people submit homes to a separate temporary list that might be okay. Still easy to abuse with social media/fans though. But in general I see the voting part being abused way too easily.
As it stands, as much as I love doing housing, unless they remove the 'upvoting' part, I am not willing to risk using it and being forced to upvote EVERY house I look at for fear of being mass false-reported. This was my favorite aspect of ESO, and now I feel like I can't share it anymore without risking my account.

For real. Leaving the whole furnishing limit aside, I would have been happy if they had fixed the editor so it didn't take me an hour to align a counter to it's corresponding corner counter.

When I read ZOS hired the EHT creator, I was hoping we could at least align all the structural furnishings with an easier UI.
EHT is amazing, but it is overwhelming for new users.
It's not as exciting as a bunch of homes being upgraded to 700 slots, weapon/armor displays, ESO+ furniture bag, etc. But this would have been a better QoL update than Home Tours.
...
Just wanted to add that I really admire the original project, EHT. A lot of us suspected that housing tours would be the new feature and are not disappointed that it's that, but wish it came with more utility and improvements on EHT's Housing Hub, rather than being an extremely "lite" version of it.
Honestly I did expect something more robust, or at least with related features like weather control. From the outside, it appears like there may have been hurdles that tied ZOS devs' hands, preventing launching something more feature-rich. My only hope is that it's partly a time and resources issue, and that they can keep working and expanding on this.
Do you know how many homes I have toured where a creator says, "Sorry it's not decorated in more detail. I wish this house had 700 slots."

Hi @tsaescishoeshiner , what I wrote was based entirely on the initial livestream, which did not state the system was going to be anonymous, and also did not initially mention the voting limitations in their entirety as far as I can recall. If those had been said then, I would not have been so worried about this system, but unfortunately when I wrote that, there was no way to know it based on that initial livestream.
I am aware it's not straightforward as report = ban, but I have known people in other MMOs who had gotten banned unfairly due to mass false reporting, so I suppose part of me is still wary of that happening in ESO. Perhaps considerably less likely that other games, but with an anonymous voting and visiting system that worry is irrelevant (which, at the time of my first post, I was unaware of).
It is fair to say I was panicking a bit, but it was not intended to be misinformation, there just wasn't enough official information at the time of my posting.
Now that we know it's anonymous, and votes are limited, I don't have the same concerns I did initially. I only wish they had clarified with that initial livestream the anonymity part, because then I would have been a lot less worried.

The feature I would like to see is something like... this: If companions were made to kinda replace other players & aid solo players in exploration, then I would like to have a feature that would basically "trade" the amount of players that can visit a house for furnishing slots. Since the argument for low furnishing slot was always "performance" (house instance needs to run well cuz you can have mamy other players there on top of having a lot of furnishings), then if let's say we would be able to configure each house & set max player limit, so it would be an instance with a player limit of like 2 or 1 (solo instance) then in theory it should allow to have way greater furnishing slot limit.
