Sorc Twilight pet needs changed due to field of view issues
Funnily enough what started this years long crusade from me was something a lot of people here might find kinda goofy.
Every once in a while I like to step away from the MMO side of ESO and dive into the Elder Scrolls side of ESO. By this I mean just start doing some quests I haven't done yet, or just haven't done in a while, and really pay attention to the dialogue and story. You know, try to play it like I would play a single-player Elder Scrolls game. Roleplay a little. Its actually really enjoyable sometimes. A little jarring that you absolutely melt some enemies that within the quests' context should be formidable, but still very enjoyable if you focus on the narrative.
That being said, I've always been a summoner/minion enjoyer. So naturally Sorc has been my favorite class as its really the only class where you can get the theme going of some sort of summoner. You get both pets out there with the Atronach Ultimate and our favorite Daedroth from Maw of the Infernal and you got yourself a really cool Daedric summoner feel. Problem is, while I'm out there questing playing the game in a more cinematic single-playerish way, I like to have my camera zoomed in much more than when I'm doing MMO stuff. The camera zooms over the right shoulder of your character, and this is also where they decided to put the giant flying flapping Twilight. So if you zoom in at all, you will constantly see massive purple wings flap directly into your field of vision, even while running. Whats frustrating about this is, it would be so much less of an issue if they just swapped the side the Twilight stays on with the Clanfear, as it would be on the shoulder the camera isn't focused on. Also the Twilight being one of two core pets means its a fairly essential skill to have to get this summoner feel that I'm going for, so its not something I'm willing to just not use.
Now its pretty obvious this pet provides all kinds of annoyances to all kinds of players doing all kinds of content. But I just figured I'd share the origin story of my personal crusade. Also I just wanted to point out the position of the Twilight in relation to the camera on the off chance that ZOS reads this so maybe just maybe we can get the temporary band-aid of moving the Twilight to the other shoulder while they come up with other solutions.
