Does it make sense story-wise if you start with Gold Road and then do Necrom (spoilers possible)?

Up to now I did Necrom story quests and then Gold Road.

I wonder if it still makes sense if one does it the other way round.

Anyone tried it and does the story adapt to the order? Just a yes or no please as I want to try it myself.

Both stories are connected and Gold Road (Part 2) is the continuation of Necrom (Part 1).

Also, as I understand, your character can't do Gold Road prologue if you didn't do Necrom before with that same character.

So I wouldn't suggest doing Gold Road first.

You can do either or both in any order, but you only get the epilogue quest in Gold Road if you have also finished the main story in Necrom.

At least, that is my understanding.

Since it is a connected story, it doesn't make sense to play Gold Road first.

In Gold Road, Ithelia is already free. In Necrom, Ithelia hasn't been freed yet.

I'd be interested if dialogues differ if you play Gold Road first, because logically, it would be a total mess. But no, I'll not try it.
