I don't think a forum mod can review a ban. As suggested earlier, the best thing to do is to follow the process in place, by putting in a ticket appealing the ban; then post here with the ticket number, as forum staff *can* check on the status of the ticket and make sure it's being reviewed by the correct employees.

I do hope it gets sorted out quickly for OP and I do wish that ZoS had a better system for dealing with these situations, for whatever that's worth.

Today i receive an email saying i was banned for cheating. i was happy yesterday i bought 180 diamond crates from randoms players with gold like have done for years and was happy i got 2 mounts and the polymorph.
Today i wake up with an email saying im banned for cheating, when i only enter this game to craft items and sell in the guild traders and play pvp in cyrodiil. Thats it. I have addons like everyone else and do nothing else but farming gold, pvp and buying crates for gold from random players in zone chat. [snip] IS THIS????
The code of the email is: 240621-002392
When i try to enter with my account in the elderscrollsonline.com to send a ticket for this, it doesn't allow me to enter my accound because in "permanently banned". So let me get this straight, you horrible system ban me for no reason and i dont get to make a claim? great support system, 10/10... .....................

ZOS is really cracking down on people buying crowns with in game gold lately. They've said it's not against the ToS, but people are still getting banned for it.

Even though it is not against the ToS there is related activity is a violation, which was made clear when Zenimax blocked trading due to inappropriate trades.

There will always be risks until Zenimax eliminates direct player-to-player trading and creates a system similar to GW2. I find it unfathomable and illogical that we use such an archaic means to trade gold for crowns when it is known to have such major issues, and there are solid examples out there.

The current system puts the conman first. We need a system that puts the player first.

Stuff like this reminds me of how easy it is to lose all the things i bought and farmed in ESO. None of "my" characters, houses, gear, materials etc. belong to me. Some random program can just take it away without ever giving a reason. And there will never be a fair trial or anything. We have no rights. This makes me want to play less and spend less money on the game. This sword of damocles hanging over my head takes away the good feeling of a safe place to relax.

Combined with the horrible performance, overmoderated forums and lack of communication and respect, i honestly don't know what keeps me playing this game.

I hope you will get your account back soon and i hope you will get a fair compensation for your troubles. I wonder how many people don't even bother to try and get their account back... Maybe that's the AI's way to fix performance without spending any money on better hardware and human worker bees :)

Did they ever tell you why the ban was implemented in the first place?

ZOS, whether they agree or not, is very much obligated to tell players they ban exactly why they were banned. And I don't see anything that resembles an apology in that statement either.

I’m very glad to hear it! I wish ZOS would take more care to prevent this happening in the first place as it’s scary one could be banned, even temporarily, without doing anything wrong! :(

It seems to me you should be due some compensation or apology at least, but at least it’s been sorted out and you’re back in the game now!

They should have the ability to escalate issues to the people that are able to help.

ZOS should be holding itself accountable to it's customers. Everyone who gets a ban is owed an explanation as to why.

They will never give an explanation because it will just give the bot farms and gold sellers and con artists a deeper insight into how the detection algorithms work. I feel like ZOS should be more polite and apologetic and offer compensation for false positives like this. But it would be bad for the game and the players to explain why and how they got banned. The info will aid bad actors, which will result in more in-game fraud, which will force ZOS to get more aggressive battling it, which will result in more false positives, etc.

You can't review something they say they will not review.

Posting here may have minimal value, but that is because other ways to do something seem to be blocked, at least in this case.

Noting it was an automated process would not reveal how the finding was made.

It is a tough balance, but some manual override needs to work better at least for those caught by something like this.
