What's the point in "everything is instantly available"? All targets reached leaves little incentive to play any further.
I always consider MMORPG as a multi-year gameplay.
(I formerly played another MMORPG - which is still available, after 25+ years! - where progress required lots and lots of thinking, trying, and months of failure. That didn't stop parties from trying again and again and again. Until a solution was found and the quest could progress. "Run there, task complete, done, game finished" just seems to be so boring.)

You mean, like 99.9% you like in this game and 0.1% of things you don't like is completely out of balance? Maybe - but only maybe - those 0.1% game content are in-game for people who like that kind of content and might even be more than 0.1% of the players?
Things that are unnecessary long grinds/too rng dependant:
-Weapon drops from last boss in dungeons (weapons should be included in drop tables for all bosses or there should be a token system)
-Antiquity leads (needs ramping drop rate, 300 daily quests for markyn ring lead was insufferable, many others as well)
-scrying as mentioned in this thread for alts (should all be buyable for alts with gold or in crown store)
-monster shoulder pieces (need duration or a specific weight for increased price)
-style pages for the anniversary event (time limited, rare drop rate, bound on pickup...pick 2 of these 3 next time zos)
Edit: also if you don't want to be able to buy scribing on alts with gold as proposed, don't do it...? Grind away to your hearts content?
