That may well be. Kids today with their TikToks don't have any patience for the elderly speaking.*

I do but they just go on and on.....I mean really on and on and on and on..... like nooone has spoken to them in weeks...
Well.... I can (at 76) be considered "elderly" but I still speak at a pretty fast rate (as I always have) with a lot of hand gestures, and I still read 1500 words a minute: in other words, many books don't last long enough to be worth what I paid for them - and Amazon's Kindle store gets a LOT of money from me - as well as reading the quest dialogue so fast I get fairly frustrated with some of the NPCs....
Hmmm well speed isn't as important as understanding and absorbing, really is it? I look to be changed, by the books I read, not just to plough through them at pace like fast food.
It's not the speed of delivery of npc it's simply so much they want to tell me. I just don't want to know, really. I have an add on to turn off the text as much as I can, as it can. I like to listen to them. But brevity is the soul of wit. Pithy, witty, brevity, not a monologue moment in the stagelights, every time!

Oh so true. I very frequently (well, especially in the scribing questline) stop to reread - sometimes several times - the dialogues. Especially in this instance with Ulfsild and the Luminaries....
I remember back to the Mages' Guild questline, watching the "vignette videos" and wondering whatever had happened to Ulfsild. I really don't like Sheo, so his whole shtick was "ack, get it over with already!" - but Ulfsild has stuck with me for 7 years!
And now I know at least some of "what happened". So, thank you devs for giving me some closure on a perhaps "minor" to you person (and maybe to many others) but for me an individual I really wanted to find and interact with again! It's not often in an MMO that such a "minor" (in some eyes, or in an overall world view) wish comes true....

I do kind of like that it puts a different perspective on Shalidor throwing all his time at trying to get Eyevea back. He was at least in part trying to get the Scholarium back for his wife…

This is me, honestly. I don't thrive on talking to most people, it's a lot of sound and information at once that, frankly, I don't care about. Sure, I have family and friends, and even the occasional passing conversation can be pleasant, but I'd usually rather be left alone! I don't enjoy playing "listen to this person ramble simulator."
@TaSheen , I'm sure your rambling is a delight, though. No disrespect. I'd love to sit down, have a cup of tea and listen to your extended thoughts about horses sometime.
I really enjoy the FromSoftware style of dialogue. Short, cryptic. Actually makes me want to know more, but then the NPC has walked off and died somewhere. Really looking forward to that Elden Ring DLC. 😁

They probably made the replacement for consistency's sake. It's possible that the former VA wasn't available for the new content, so they re-did the older Mora content with the new VA so the character sounds the same all through the game.
