Skingrad is perfect for daily writs

The woodworking and clothing stations are awkwardly placed for a "perfect loop" between writ board and hand in boxes in Skingrad IMO. Leyawiin flows better for dailly writs.
The clothing station is easily missable/poorly placed and if the hand in boxes were swapped with the woodworking station it would be daily writ perfection. I'm sure I'll get used to it and it's kinda janky routing though (if not I'll go back to Leyawiin).

which vendor has a dog in Leyawiin? I don't remember them

By vendor I mean merchant. The one in Sally Forth Goods - not the bag merchant, the one at the counter. Scritches the dog is behind the counter. The shop is right near the wayshrine.

ah i hardly ever go there when crafting.
this post is about crafting writs so i thought one of the craft merchants suddenly got a dog

It's good, but I still prefer Stomrhold. The only thing that Skingrad has over it is that the delivery boxes are closer being right there in the crafting area instead of a little bit away from it.

I tried Skingrad this morning and like it, but I think for my main, I'll stick with Leyawiin. I'm used to it and my favourite vendor and dog are there. But I'll move any alts that are still training their horses to Skingrad. That's the one thing I never liked about Leyawiin - having to leave the town to get to the stables.

I wouldn’t do that if I were you… The stables at Skingrad are pretty far away from the crafting hub, and require going through a loading screen.

My alts that still need mount training are still parked in Rawl’kha.

Oh, I thought someone said the stables were really close by. If they have to go through a loading screen, then there's no point moving them there.

I would have seen it when I actually went to move one. I rarely play my alts, so I'm not sure when that would have been. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry if it's something obvious, but why does Outfit Station location matter when doing writs?

    Exactly how @LunaFlora said..
Some people don't care for outfits, some choose an outfit for the "lifetime" of the character and some just change outfits almost like in RL. So why not combine "pleasant with useful" or do daily craft and change.
So for some people the Outfit station (even if they have it at home) is somehow important in the craft area.

In the West veald it's hard to tell what the temperature is, so the character has to dress properly, same as I'm finishing up "skeletons in the closet" and last time I went to Wrothgar. Surely my cat can't be running around in a summer outfit in the cold. Poor girl would freeze to death.

Ill stay in blackwood, skingrad is too grey

At the right time, Skingrad is beautiful in autumn at sunset. (I guess it's autumn there)
Even the craft area is quite nice.qga4r8u18kpz.jpg
Sorry, bad lightning... Its cloudy right now.

I can't play ESO without ReShade bevause I don't like base colors and lightning and is so fuzzy

How is it better than Alinor (Summerset)? Its only drawback is the stupid singing guy who still sings if you log in while inside the crafting area. The riding trainer is a bit away, but it looks like that is the case in Skingard, right?

The difference in Skingrad is that from the wayshrine just outside the crafting area you can jump to the wayshrine just outside the stables. Which for some people might be preferable to having to run through Alinor.

I really do still prefer Vivec. Outdoor bank, circular crafting area, easy access to Outlaw's Refuge, wayshrine, stable.

the writ boxes are right next to the woodworking stations which is way closer than in Alinor.

It's not bad, but I still prefer Leyawiin. It's very easy to get turned around and lose your bearings in Skingrad, while it's much harder in Leyawiin.

Funny you should mention that, because I always struggle with directions in Leawiin. In Skingrad I've found that the places I want to go are conveniently marked on the compass - daily quest givers are so close that their blue arrows show, and the bank is right next to the wayshrine, so I just head for the wayshrine icon. The only thing I had to remember is to go left after exiting the bank to get back to the writs area.

For me Vivec city is already fast enough, at this point 80% of my time is spent on loading screens when switching the characters. They really need to fix this, I don't think I know of any other MMO where character loading can be as long as ESO.

Skingrad is hands down my fav place to daily crafting writs now.

    Thank you ZOS! <3

Even the daily WB/Delve/Mirrormoor quest givers are just outside the entrance where the boxes are to hand in your crafting writs.

I agree that the outfit station could use some better lighting, but other than that, it is pretty much perfect.
