Thank you, devs, for finally making the daily writs hubs we've been dreaming about! Everything's on one small square, with the wayshrine, bank, and an inn room for free recalls just around the corner! I've just finished parking all my alts in there :-)

Ditto on this, super efficient. My loading screens are now longer than the time it takes to actually do the writs.

This is almost true except that the trip to Remains-Silent is even worse than for other crafting areas, making Alinor still the best for those doing writs on 20 characters but still wanting the potential 24 alchemy mats from the Shadow Supplier passive. I would happily pay for a Remains-Silent assistant!

Is Skingrad better than Leyawiin? I have toons that don't need the stable master parked there for daily crafting writs, and for those who still need to work on their riding skills, it's Vivec.

I'm not currently logged in, just curious as to how Skingrad compares to those cities. TIA!

Almost! There's no light in front of the outfit stations—they're way too dark. Especially because the city is often shaded in there.

(If your daily crafting does not involve a detour to the outfit station, we just Cannot Relate)

    Agree with @Davvy123 about Vivec.

I did daily at these places and liked it:
Vivec = The best if you don't need outfit station and you don't have ESO+, you have bank in the center of crafting area even with Outlaw! Stable master with wayshrine few meters away.
Rimmen City = Outfit station in the crafting area, stable master and bank little bit aside from way to deliver.
Gonfalon Bay = Crafting area inside house, so more loading screens but outfit station in area, stable master and bank near. Only stable master outside city
Leyawiin = Outfit station, bank near crafting area. But again Stable master outside the City.
Alinor = Cozy crafting area with outfit station, stable master and bank little bit far from it but ok.
Solitude = Crafting area little bit worse, two door for half of crafting writs but outfit station, bank on the way to deliver. But Stable master outside city.
Rawl'kha = Everything on big area but technicaly everything near in the way through crafting, even Outlaw
Elden Root = Bank and outfit station on the same floor inside big tree, stable master outside

Skingrad = I've tried a couple of times in Skingrad, but I haven't developed a system to make a round and deliver.

EDIT: Yea I mixed up Gonfalon Bay and Leyawiin, so I edit that

the writ boxes aren't a struggle to interact with compared to Leyawiin.
plus they're inside the crafting area instead of outside

Daggerfall in Glenumbra, Davon's Watch in Stonefalls, and Windhelm in Eastmarch are fairly decent crafting hubs in the base game zones, I think. The Outlaws Refuge in Davon's Watch is a bit further away than I'd like, but it isn't that far from the bank. And the bank in Daggerfall is close to most of the crafting stations but far from the turn-in crates and Outlaws Refuge, but the Outlaws Refuge is near the turn-in crates and has a banker in it.

Let's put it this way, if the boxes to hand in writs were an enemy, you could use a gap closer from where you pick up the writs to get there, it's that close and within line of sight.

Leyawiin has the crafting writ boards right next to the crafting stations, and the turn in crates not too far off. The bank also is fairly close. I’m not sure I understand the need for an outfit station close by though.

Do you know which non-base style material drops in Skingrad?
For instance, in Vivec and Necrom, you get Ashlander gear (Ash Canvas)[along with argonian, nord, orc...] as rewards in your writ boxes, and in Leyawiin, you get Imperial (nickel).

I've tried them all but none will beat Vivec for my purposes simply because of the center outside bank. I bank intricates/ masterwrits etc into my guild banks and the layout is so easy.
For those that don't need daily bank access I'm sure Skingrad ticks all the boxes for ease.

I really like Leyawiin for crafting dailies, but tomorrow I'll give Skingrad a try.

However, Leyawiin has something that Skingrad does not: Scritches!!!!!! (still not pet-able!)

I'm not sure I'll be able to go without my daily visit to Scritches, and I'll miss hearing "Look what the bog dogs dragged in!" and "You'll need what I carry" and Blackwood being "about as safe as the inside of a crocodile's mouth!"

I really like the new area in Skingrad, but my crafter lives in Water’s Edge In Leyawiin where he also maintains a music box museum and small performance hall in the other side and although he has visited Skingrad and tried it out he keeps going home to Leyawiin.

I've visited and tested Skingrad's crafting writs setup, compared it with Leyawiin and Vivec, and have concluded that:

    1. Skingrad is the top choice for picking up the daily writs, crafting them, and turning them in. The bank is not too far off.
    2. Leyawiin is second choice, for close proximity of the writ boards, crafting stations, and turn-in crates. The bank here is about the same distance away as in Skingrad.
    3. Vivec is best for baby toons who still need the stablemaster (she's just a quick ride up the road), and also has a banker within the crafting area.

As Skingrad became my 1st main character's daily writs hub, I immediately went and purchased a room there. It's great for instant recall to the city, but unfortunately can only accommodate 2 storage coffers. I'd hope it would be like Snugpod, which I set up with a full complement of 8 storage chests, 1 of each of the 7 basic crafting stations, a banker, armory station, and outfit station, perfect for doing master writs and quickly delivering them nearby. Lastly, Snugpod is just a stone's throw away from a rebels' sanctuary, perfect for occasional sessions with my Thief/Assassin 2nd main toon.

Actually, Skingrad has stables reasonably close, just as accessible as with Vivec City.

I tried Skingrad this morning and like it, but I think for my main, I'll stick with Leyawiin. I'm used to it and my favourite vendor and dog are there. But I'll move any alts that are still training their horses to Skingrad. That's the one thing I never liked about Leyawiin - having to leave the town to get to the stables.

By vendor I mean merchant. The one in Sally Forth Goods - not the bag merchant, the one at the counter. Scritches the dog is behind the counter. The shop is right near the wayshrine.
