Great chapter, good story, beautiful zone, cool daedric prince. Scribing is basically a bonus feature/system to this expansion. Personally I am really impressed with the implementation of skillstyling. Styling is easy, simple, and well thought out. Hoping we get more styling options soon. There are some colors I really want for all skills: Blue/Red/White/Black/Yellow, so they can fit my character colors. (Not sure if the styling only applies to what I see on screen, or also to what other players see me using)

Gold road is about a 8/10, would be higher is the script grind for scribing was done accountwide.

Scribing is actually quite fun, and does have some useful option. Also loving the skillline, and have completed it 20 times over already(not for the ink). Have noticed that in PvP(MYM) some abilities are too overpowered, like infinite shieldspam for low mana count.
To me the real downside to scribing is having to gather all scripts per character, while there is an accountwide cooldown. They really should reconsider/change this. As to me this totally destroys any fun I could have with scribing. Let scripts randomly drop in a non-rare curated way from the same sources ink does until we have collected them all on that character, let completing the entire scholarium questline on an alt grant access to all scripts learned accountwide, have all scripts for sale in the scholarium all the time, let scripts just be accountwide. Anything to fix this grind! Ink should be the gatekeeper for scribing, not scripts. Every other main game system is accountwide after the character based unlock, scribing should be no different. (Besides that, I hate doing daily quests. So gating scripts behind those is even worse for me.)

Scribing skills are too specific, and should all have granted all available attack types for every grimoire type: Mag dmg single target close/Wep dmg single target close/Mag dmg single target ranged/Wep damage single target ranged, and AOE versions for all of those. Just give them clean baseline skillanimations, so we don't have to have 1000's of different skillanimations for them.

Because of these reasons, I have to give scribing a 3/10. Despite scribing itself being useful and fun! Scribing should have been much more fleshed out and thought through on release.

Ink droprate seems fine to me, and you get those even when playing the game normally and doing something else entirely. Gaining ink is just a byproduct of playing the game. Even before I did all the scholarium completes I already had plenty of ink.

Over time when fewer players make new skills and players had more time to find ink, ink will start piling up for everyone. Which is basically already happening.

@VouxeTheMinotaur Did you ever end up buying the chapter? If so, what are your thoughts after having played it for a bit now.

I was on my PC EU second account yesterday, fishing on my level 49. Over the course of about 3 hours, she collected 6 ink from: a wood node, a water node, a mushroom node, and a runestone - the wood and water gave two each, the others 1 each. Most ink I've ever got in playing normally - those were all in Grahtwood.

ive never had that kind of luck with ink even when i did try to heavily farm for it lol

im currently sitting at an avg of maybe 2 ink per week right now, still under 50 ink earned in almost 2 months

just to make sure im understanding, you did 2 hours both days, or 2 hours between both days?

6 ink from 4 hours of farming sounds pretty close to what ive heard as a "normal" drop rate, ~1 ink per hour

if it was 6 ink in 2 hours then that would be a luck streak of ~3 ink per hour (though still way less than what ive heard people claim as 10-20 ink per hour)

i just wish it would drop at all with any form of regularity for me, it feels like im back on a monster trophy grind

The 6 ink was (as I said above) over the course of 3 hours on that day.

Yesterday and today was 2 hours each day - by the time I do all my other odds and ends on 3 accounts both PC megaservers, 2-3 hours is all I have left for whatever else I'm trying to get done on a specific girl.... like fishing on this 49 and getting her to 50 while doing so. And then it will be fishing on the mains on my 3rd and 4th accounts....

Anyway, the drop rate isn't great, but as I said, it's more than I've got on anyone else since the chapter dropped - which was mostly running backlog of surveys and grabbing every node on the way to them - and those sessions were around 3-4 hours each on several days over a few weeks and on 3 different accounts/mains.

im glad you had a luck streak with it though, but its still sad that people need to have a significant luck streak like that to make any useable amount of ink

Well, I hope you find your own luck streak soon! This is really not how I expected this to go. Right now, I'm getting so many lead drops (gold and purple) I can hardly keep up with them! I'm going to have to take a day to dig them all on all my accounts.... Too bad ink isn't the same!
