Scribing - Ice spammable?

So I've been looking though the discussion/reporting on the scribing system and it looks like there is very limited ice damage.
I was hoping to finally have an ice spammable for my dps frost warden, but it looks like that might not be possible.
I dont have the pts to check so is anyone able to confirm if there is an ice spammable?

Sadly, it isn't. You could use Destructive Reach as a spammable though.

Bummer, hopefully something will be added in the future. I think one of the world skills had a lightning damage option, hopefully they can add an ice option to that as well.

I wanted to avoid destructive reach but I'll have to continue with it for now.

The only ranged ice damage is on the Destro Staff grimoire, Elemental Explosion, and that has a 2 second cast time

yeah, the design of the skill would indicate that its the kind of high damage casted explosion that could substitute for a spammable (high risk, but great reward), however it's just so utterly slow to do anything and the damage not close to where it should be that it doesn't realistically have a role to play for dps. i think i saw a 15k tooltip which was utterly abysmal for how many gcds you waste on using it. if you'd ever use this skill it'd be in pvp to be annoying at keeps with the knockback option. not for damage.

its a damn shame. i have no idea why they decided to brick half of the viability of new skills by giving them cast times. we collectively as a community don't enjoy cast times very much unless they're very short, so this seems like a pretty big blunder.

i thought the destro skill was going to be a tether like zaan. that would have been really cool.

I would have liked a single-target ice spammable (ranged plus melee!), but we do already have one with Frost Reach, which deals the same damage standard as Force Pulse/Swallow Soul/Dive with the same cost standard. Having a single-target ranged shock spammable is new, though.

We can use Ulfsild's Contingency as an AoE frost spammable, but I think that Impulse outperforms it in most ways.

actually, you should be able to use both at the same time for more overall aoe.

There you can test out for yourself. Wield Souls would be the go to spammable but there is no ice sadly.
